Happy 6th Birthday, Amelia Spencer!
Brianna’s best friend is having a good day, but other than a small gift and best wishes while at school; we haven’t had any involvement in her celebrations. Brianna and Faith are both at her party and sleepover; so we’re sure that they are doing their part to help Amelia with having a lot of fun!
Our day hasn’t been that exciting, but we’ve had a good day too. The academic adventures at school kept us busy if not challenged; it was cold out today, so we stayed indoors most of the time; and that’s also why we opted for playing at the lab or archives after school. We had our four favorite collegians with us for dinner before they spent another evening with Jake, Stephanie, and Sierra. That meal was a bit late because we didn’t get home from the lab on time; and then our evening included another Magi lesson with Mom and some family business work in the office with Mom and Dad. Cassie and Michael just left after having a bedtime chat with us, and while this news is a bit early; that was entirely because they’ll be leaving in the morning on a surprise trip for May’s birthday – an extended long weekend getaway that Lee, Rowen, and Tim will be going on with them until next Tuesday. They’ll need to move on from the trip to their townhouses and apartments instead of coming home again because Cassie has T.A. work to do and everyone else will need to get ready for the next semester; so we might not see Cassie and Michael again in-person until spring break.
Let’s not wrap this up on that kind of sad note. We have had fun with Cassie and Michael when they have had time to spend with us; and we’re grateful for that – and them! We’ll also be grateful for the sleep we’re going to get started on next; since we want to be at full power by morning so that we can enjoy the special, early birthday breakfast and celebration we’ll be doing for May before that travel surprise is sprung on her.
