Ethan and Ehlana:
Happy 45th Birthday, Tracey Landry!
We didn’t have any direct involvement in Tracey’s special day, but her celebrations did affect us because Mom, Dad, and our favorite collegians were on the guest list for Tracey’s birthday dinner at the Inn; so we hosted our cousins and some friends for a Pizzeria pizza dinner with some grandparent support. We had time for video gaming and music play time after dinner too until after the dinner at the Inn was over; and then there was some bonus family time with everyone that was mostly so that we could say goodbye to Grandma and Grandpa before they head for Arizona in the morning. The top news from the birthday dinner is that Tracey got an island vacation for her top gift; will be taking Tim’s Dad along as her plus one; and they’ll be flying out in the morning too.
As for the rest of our day, the first school day of the New Year was pretty good; the kid and teen gossip network was active all day with all of the latest holiday stories; and we jumped right into our lessons with new module assignments. Before we move on, we want to thank our teachers and everyone else involved in our school system for keeping our school open when so many other places around the country and world are using online learning again – either temporarily or longer-term. We’ll take sides on this issue, and from our perspective, the costs aren’t even close to being worth the benefits of socially isolating kids and teens. There are already a lot of problems that have been caused by the past two years of pandemic policies; and those issues are just getting compounded now – not to mention that the worst problems are affecting the poorest and most-in-need children. We don’t want to get into a rant on this or anything else; so let’s move on.
Our school time included some outdoor snow play time, and we went out to play after school too – taking our sleds and snowboards to our favorite hill on the ridge and playing there until near-dark. That was a lot of fun; and then we had time to get changed and warmed up before our dinner guests arrived. Grandma and Grandpa were there by then too; Mom, Dad, and our favorite collegians headed for the Inn after Michael and Lee picked up the pizza order from the Pizzeria and dropped it off to us; and we’ve already covered the important news from that meal and our evening entertainment. After our grandparents and guests left for the night, we had some wind down chat time with just eight of us – plus Silkie and Mandy; and we’ve just finished up with Jacuzzi or shower time ahead of this last round of bedtime computing and our twin chat wrap-up. That’s enough news for today too, and we’re ready to get some sleep soon, so we’ll do that; and get back to more New Year fun and adventures again in the morning!
Until next time, this little blast from your near or distant past is written for you with love from Ethan and Ehlana Proctor – twin junior Magi Masters of the Light!
