Ethan and Ehlana:
The warming weather that will continue through Christmas has been nice as well as a top news story around here, but since our family news included having early arrivals last night and important business for the architects in the family; we’ll go with that story – and related news – first.
Uncle Blaine, Christ, and Sadie didn’t really have a lot of work to deal with on the Galleria, but that is our favorite project; and they did spend time there today making sure that their plans are working out as expected. While we are happy to hear that the building and remodel is structurally safe and sound; it is the side stories that we love most. While not every new store owner is getting the official news for the first time for Christmas; we can now report that all of the Galleria store owners will know by the end of this week that their business plans, leases, and financing have been approved. Since some of those new owners are also friends with Cassie and Michael; that adds a personal touch for us; and we’re excited for those friends as they’ll be transitioning straight from college into business. We still have until May before those stores will begin to open in time for Memorial Day; so we’ll save those details for closer to when that is going to happen.
As for our day – and evening last night; we’ve loved all of the adventures with our family and friends – whether that was movies last night and the co-ed sofa sleepover; the chores and indoor play time this morning while waiting for it to warm up; or the afternoon biking and park play time this afternoon. We had a rotation of aunts, uncles, and cousins around our house for a lot of the day, but we were split up for dinner; and Mom and Dad only had four kids with them for dinner – including Naomi and Aiden. Cassie and Michael were busy with his family – and babysitting Sierra.
We’ve had a comparatively-quiet evening, but that’s mostly because Dad pretty much finished up his homework for the week and only has a couple of meetings tomorrow before wrapping up for the week. Naomi and Aiden stayed with us until around nine o’clock, so Mom did a Magi lesson with us and we filled up the rest of the time with a movie and a music practice to get ready for our part in the Christmas Eve service. That was all fun, and then we opted for bath or Jacuzzi time that kept us busy until Cassie and Michael got home. We did a bedtime snack and visit with them – and Mom and Dad; and now we’re collectively ready to crash and nap so that we’ll be ready for all of the holiday weekend fun that will kick up a few notches tomorrow as the rest of our weekend guests arrive.
Stay tuned for all of that news with our next few reports, but that’s all we have for today; so we’ll wrap this up with our Christmas video picks.
