Ethan and Ehlana:
Cassie and Michael are home!
That’s our top news of the day – though we’ve had to share them already – including with the gang of teens and kids that were here for the evening when they arrived at around ten o’clock. Cassie had to spend part – or most – of the day dealing with her T.A. duties that were mostly about wrapping up final exams grading and end-of-term meetings with a few Professors. Michael kept busy getting the townhouse ready for their temporary vacancy and packing for their trip home; so that worked out for them too. We shouldn’t exclude Mandy; and we are glad to see her again too! Before we get to the rest of that part of our story; let’s cover the news from the rest of the day.
Okay, we don’t really have any news that we want to go on about when it is already this late. The first week day of our Christmas break was good, but not really very warm out, so we only went out to play for a little while this morning and about an hour-and-a-half this afternoon. The rest of the time was spent indoors; included some morning chores; and afternoon gaming and movies. We had a small gang with us for lunch; and larger group for dinner; and our evening guests included most of our hometown or visiting cousins; friends for most of us; and some parents to keep Mom and Dad company while we were busy. Video gaming and movies have been part of our entertainment tonight too, but we had a long break while welcoming Cassie and Michael; followed that up with another movie while they were busy with visits for his side of the family; and then they joined us in the lounge for a movie and chat time while winding down to nap time.
Naomi and Aiden are staying with us tonight, and Jaimie, Kaitlyn, and Jayden are here too – though they’ve gone off to their own beds now. The rest of our friends and cousins headed for their own homes over the past few hours; and we’ll likely all be together again after breakfast because most other parents are busy with work or other activities anyway.
It’s late, so we’ll only have time for a long nap, but that does give us the opportunity for another co-ed sofa sleepover, so here are our Christmas video picks of the day for you to enjoy; and we’ll wrap this up and get back to the cuddle time with our best friends! ;^)
