Ethan and Ehlana:
We loved starting our day having Cassie and Michael join us for Tai Chi – though that was indoors because it was cold this morning. Having guests in the house kept us from sharing a round of Magi-powered healing, but we were fired up – and might catch up on our sleep tonight.
Dad was really happy to have Cassie and Michael at home too – which is why we got to enjoy a full country breakfast on a work day! We followed that up with some chores – including the kitchen clean-up; the girls led a shopping trip that was mostly for Cassie and Michael to do the rounds and visit all of their favorite store owners and workers. There was a bit of time for playing between the shopping and lunchtime; Mom hosted most of the cousins and some friends for that meal; and then it was time for the girls to begin rotating through hair appointments at the salon while the guys did the same at the barber shop. The kids and teens mixed in some biking on the trails and park play time around getting our hair done, but it only warmed to around forty-five again today; so the biking was a bit chilly – even with warm coats and gloves.
Mom and Dad hosted the business Christmas dinner at the Inn, so we needed to be home early to get ready for it and then head over to the Inn in time for the pre-dinner social hour. We were in one of the small dining rooms; and had a fairly-large group including our family, the Nortons, quite a few clients, and some friends. Naomi and Aiden were our dates for the dinner; and we enjoyed that meal with the other kids and teens while the adults had fun together too.
That meal was the highlight of our day; and then we came home without any extra guests because our visiting cousins were already busy with other plans for the night; and our best friends were wanted at home with their own families – at least for one night.
After getting home, we only had a short visit with Cassie and Michael before they moved on to spending the rest of the evening with his family – including a bedtime visit with Sierra; and then we did some work and a Magi lesson in the office while Mom and Dad both worked on legal or family business. They’ll both be wrapping up their work for the week early, and that’s why Mom’s time phase helped out a lot with getting the work done tonight. We still made time for quality visits with bathtub or Jacuzzi after that; and now we’re winding down to nap time. Cassie and Michael probably won’t get back in time for a bedtime visit; so that’s pretty much all we have for today.
