Welcome home, Cassie and Michael!
Their surprise, early arrival in time for church this morning was awesome, and might have been our top story of the day – but it wasn’t. We’ll get to that soon, but let’s start this report from the beginning.
Our morning began with Tai Chi by the river; we followed that up with a hot breakfast; and had fun getting ready for church – especially since we knew that Cassie and Michael were on the way home from the time we woke up. We kept that news to ourselves so that most of our family and friends could enjoy the surprise. The arrival of our favorite collegians at the church was definitely our favorite part of the morning, but we didn’t actually get to spend much time with them until we came home for lunch. Getting their car unloaded and the luggage up to their room took a while, but while we did that with help from Naomi and Aiden; Mom and Dad got started on the cooking; and then we had a fun break for that meal while sharing school, home, and travel stories.
Dad had a lot of work to get done today, but while we could have changed our plans for the rest of the day; having Cassie and Michael here early gave us a perfect chance to work at the lab – which is where the top news of the day happened. We ended up with quite a gang at the lab for at least parts of the afternoon; and the awesome news is that we’ve perfected our Magi-powered Covid-19 vaccine-healing. We’ve also tested it out on more Magi and a handful of non-Magi – including Uncle Mark and Aunt Grace. Michael can help with the time-phase; so we’ll be able to take turns at that; since it will be the part of the plan that will use up the most power. the healing is still difficult too, but doesn’t actually use that much power; since all we’re really doing is starting a chain-reaction that will spread throughout the body – in only a slightly-different way than actual vaccines and other medications work. Those differences are important, but not something we’ll detail here in this journal – you’re welcome! ;^)
Uncle Adam and Uncle Mark will start setting up vaccine clinics starting tomorrow; and we may do them every afternoon and evening so that we can all work on getting that done as quickly as possible. We’ll keep you posted on that, but we can move on to the rest of the news for today; since the rest of the details from our afternoon of lab play time wouldn’t interest most of our journal readers anyway.
We went to the Inn for dinner at the Inn with most of our family, quite a few friends, and everyone that helped us out this afternoon; so that was a lot of fun; and then Mom and Dad brought us home while Cassie and Michael went to spend the evening with Jake, Stephanie, and Sierra – though Jake couldn’t join them until after the Inn closed for the night. Jacob and Miranda joined them for a while too, but Cassie and Michael were most-happy to get some quality time with their niece. While they’ve been busy with Michael’s family; we’ve been winding down our weekend with a Magi lesson, a music practice, and early bath or Jacuzzi time so that we can get to bed in decent time tonight. We’re ready to do that now and won’t wait up for Cassie and Michael just to have a few minutes to chat with them. We’re definitely going to be busy this week now that we’re ready to go with our special vaccination program; and we’ll need all of the extra rest when we can get it.
