Ehlana and Ethan:
Happy 41st Birthday, Hannah!
Our day was a bit different than yesterday – at least up until now, but only because this was a home-school day; it is a bit cooler; and we’ve had more rain. Tai Chi by the river was an option because it wasn’t raining at the time; we had a standard week day breakfast; and then our online studies and assignments kept us busy until a bit after two o’clock. We headed for the lab after that; and this update is early because we’re getting ready to go out to dinner at the Inn for Hannah’s birthday celebration. We’re also going to have a sleepover with Aiden and Naomi to help out with giving Hannah a kid-free night for one of her gifts, but the rest of that news can wait for tomorrow night.
Before we move on to the family-and-friends fun for the rest of the day; there is one bit of news to write about from the lab. We won’t include any vaccine names in this journal, but we definitively-eliminated one of them from use here – or anywhere else that we might have influence in those choices through our family businesses and charities. In this case, the most-serious side-effects of the vaccine are life-threatening, but we also found other, longer-term risks that are entirely caused by changes the vaccine makes to the targeted cells and DNA. We will be charitable and suggest that the researchers involved in that project didn’t know about those problems; and hope that their vaccine is stopped sooner instead of later – and before very many people get hurt or worse. Yes, we’ll do what we can, but that needs to be anonymously; and makes doing that sort of thing very challenging.
Okay, that’s enough for today. Naomi and Aiden will be here soon to drop off overnight bags, and the birthday dinner will start after the stores in town close for the night – or most of them do; so we’ll wrap this up and get back to having fun in the real world!
