Ehlana and Ethan:
Mom’s home from the city; we’re not having another sleepover with our best friends; and we’re going to keep this update short because we could use the extra sleep tonight.
While we weren’t there for most of Mom’s birthday, she had ha happy day with Dad and some of their friends; and we don’t need to write about the fun they had once on their own and kid-free in the city after their birthday dinner out. While Mom took care of some supply shopping and a fast food pick-up this morning, we helped out with some chores at Naomi’s house; spent a couple of hours at the lab or archives; and got home in time to help Mom with unloading the van and putting those supplies away. She did not bring fast food home for us too, and that was after she dropped off the food to Aunt Leanne at the office; so we had mini-subs for lunch; had a nice chat; and then we went out to play with our friends for a while so that Mom could do some computer work in the sunroom.
It wasn’t very warm out today – only into the mid-forties, but we took our bikes and hit the main trails while staying out of the park woods because all of the rain has left those trails very messy. We met up with some other friends; played at the park; and eventually headed home early because we wanted to warm up and wrap up our afternoon with some music play time. That was a highlight of the day; though we don’t have any current plans for ‘work’ as a band – or any offers for that either. Naomi and Aiden headed for home or the bakery by five. We helped Mom with dinner and the clean-up; had a Magi lesson to go along with some studying in the office while she worked; and then it was tub or Jacuzzi time for all of us – though we are still not commenting on why Mom might be very tired tonight too! ;^)
That is also pretty much all we have for tonight too, and that seems strange after such a non-stop, if very sad, start to our holiday. Life is returning to normal, though – or what that’s been during the pandemic; so the last three days of our March break are going to be spent playing with our friends; so stay tuned for the stories about those adventures while we go and catch up on our sleep to be ready for the not-at-all-extreme play time!
