Happy 28th Birthday, Isabelle!
Our first babysitter will always have a special place in our hearts, so while we didn’t really do anything to share in her special day; we- and Cassie and Michael – had a gift and lots of best wishes for Mrs. Jennings; and hope that she’s having an awesome day!
Our day-so-far has been pretty good; though it started out cold and didn’t really warm up as much as we would have liked. Tai Chi was indoors this morning; we had a hot breakfast; and then Mom had us do chores for a couple of hours – which was okay with us; since it wasn’t warm-enough to play outside anyway. It was still chilly when Naomi and Aiden came over to hang out with us, but we still went out for some biking and play time. The high today only reached fifty, but we still opted for a picnic lunch at the park; and we’ve spent most of the afternoon out on our bikes and on the trails around town and at the park.
We’re home now and getting ready for our family-and-friends fun night while Naomi and Aiden are checking in with parents and packing overnight bags; and we’re getting this update out of the way now because co-ed cuddling and sofa sleepovers are very likely for later tonight. Dad won’t be home in time for dinner, but he might get here in time for the first movie of the night if he doesn’t have any traffic issues for the trip home. We’ll cover the rest of the news for today with the next report, but need to get back to work and then help Mom with making dinner too; so that’s all for today. It still doesn’t feel normal for a holiday week, but spending the evening with some of our favorite people should help with that a bit; so we’ll wrap this up and get back to the real world starting right now.
