Ehlana and Ethan:
Happy 19th Birthday, Dawn!
We had a short video chat with Dawn at lunchtime, but she was focused on school assignments and getting ready for her exams; and not really doing anything special for her birthday.
Our day could be summed up the same way – nothing special. We’ve had fun, but can’t report anything newsworthy. Church was a bit different because we’ve continued to use the fellowship hall to help with social distancing and some high-risk neighbors stayed home as we wait to find out whether we have our local little outbreak contained or not. Those little inconveniences are minor compared to elsewhere in the country or world; and isn’t really news – or wouldn’t be news anywhere else. Dad had to work this afternoon, so after lunch; we headed over to Naomi’s house to hang out with our best friends. We had a band practice; went for a short bike ride; and watched a Christmas movie while enjoying some late-afternoon co-ed cuddle time. We ended up having dinner at the Inn with three sets of parents and two younger siblings because the Moms decided that they didn’t want to cook tonight; and then we’ve had a quiet evening at home since then.
That’s pretty much all we have for today; so let’s wrap this up with our Christmas music pick; and then we’ll go and get some sleep. Unless you’ve skipped previous years of our journals, you know that Pentatonix is one of our favorite groups – especially when it comes to Christmas songs. This is the first of our Pentatonix picks for this year; and we love the message of hope that means more than ever to us this year.
