Ehlana and Ethan:
Starting out our final school week of the year with the early wake-up call to spend time with Dad before he headed to the city helped to make for a long day, but we’ve had fun; and got a lot of work done too. Tai Chi was indoors because we didn’t want to go out in the cold after the cuddle and nap time with Mom that followed Dad’s departure. Zack would call our breakfast gruel, but we like flavored oatmeals; and his insults when he came over for the home study day were amusing – not annoying. The school week leading up to Christmas is never tough, and with the ‘home’ days; that’s more-true as our online lessons and assignments were all Christmas-themed and fun without any serious work.
The cold weather today kept us indoors this afternoon – if only because we didn’t feel like biking or playing in the near-freezing temperature. We had a band practice; Mom did a Magi lesson with four of us after our cousins and their friends moved on; and then Naomi and Aiden headed for their homes for the night too. After an easy-meal, we worked or studied for about six hours – including the time-phased part of our night; and that collectively has added up to a long, tiring day. That’s why we’re ready to wrap this up and go get some sleep – so we will. Our Christmas song pick for tonight isn’t from a Disney show, but the live-action ‘How the Grinch Stole Christmas’ is still a favorite movie; and this is our favorite version of the best song from that show.
