Ehlana and Ethan:
We’re going to be up early to see Dad off on his trip to the city; so we’re going to keep this update short.
The highlight of our morning was our first ‘live’ performance with Naomi and the Christmas Spirits during the Christmas music time that led into the church service. We sang ‘A Strange Way to Save the World’ and were a hit with our audience. We were then in the fellowship hall for the part of the service that the kids and teens stay for; and Sunday school was mostly a craft time for our class as we helped out with props for the teens’ Christmas show that is now just a week away – next Sunday night.
We came home and had lunch with Mom and Dad, but they had work to do this afternoon; so we split up and spent the afternoon with Aiden and Naomi. That was not co-ed pairings – though we got teased about that. The Seager family fun was Christmas-themed and at Grandma and Grandpa Ayres’ home while Ethan and Aiden were sent to spend the afternoon with aunts, uncles, and cousins while Aiden’s parents were busy with the bakery. The holiday shopping isn’t even close to normal, but the bakery is still one of the busiest stores in town.
Mom and Dad ended up going with dinner at the Inn with family and friends; so we all met up there for that meal; and our evening has been quiet and short – ending with bath or Jacuzzi time after watching a Christmas show in the lounge. That’s all for tonight, and we really do want to catch up on our sleep even with an early start ahead of us in the morning; so here are our Christmas song picks of the day – and then it will be time to crash and nap for the rest of the night. Our Disney song is from ‘The Search for Santa Paws’ and since we sang it at church this morning; we’re adding one of our favorite versions of that Christmas favorite too.
