Ethan:
We had an awesome Friday night with a
dinner-for-six; lots of Christmas fun that included movies and cuddle time; and
then Naomi and I were allowed to get away with another sofa sleepover.
The shopping trip breakfast buffet at the
Inn was a great way to start our day, and the awesome continued while we were
in the city; though I’ll leave that part of the report to Ehlana. We got home late; there was a lot to do
between dropping off kids and purchases around town before coming home; and
then more work to do here while unloading the van and truck. There was a bedtime chat with Mom and Dad; Ehlana
and I had a visit on her bed too; and now I’m wiped out and ready to crash and
nap – so I will.
Ethan – out!

Ehlana:
This really has been an amazing day – and weekend
so far!
Before I get into that shopping report, I’ll
mention that I wish Cassie and Michael could have been here with us today, but
they’re busy with the big push to get ready for their final exams for this
term. Sure, that’s as much for their
friends as themselves, but it still means that they aren’t having nearly as
much fun as we are this weekend. They do
get more time off for Christmas, though; so maybe they’ll think that a fair
trade-off. ;^)
Moving on to our shopping trip, we didn’t
have the largest group ever, but there were more than one-hundred; and most of
those ‘losses’ have been because our favorite teens have moved on to college;
so many of the older teens now do something else instead of going on this trip
with us. WE had a blast with all of the
shopping and two fast-food meals, but there was also a smaller group of us that
went to see the new Frozen movie – which was why we didn’t get home in time to
check out the special sales here at home instead. The good news for us is that those sales are
getting extended for tomorrow too; so bonus shopping is an option!
We loved that movie – which is no surprise;
since it is very, very popular with kids of all ages. We really don’t get to the movie theater very
often; so that really was a special treat for us – and worth the extra couple
of hours to our shopping adventure day.
I should add that our time at the movies was also another cuddle
opportunity for Ethan and Naomi – even with a small gang of friends there with
us; so they were happy campers for that too.
Our shopping was a big success too; and we’re pretty much done with our
gift-buying for both Christmas and other events coming up over the next couple
of months – like birthdays.
Ethan and I will still need to wrap our
gifts, but we decided not to start on that tonight because we’re both
tired. We might work on that tomorrow –
after that bonus shopping. Dad will need
to play catch up on his weekend work after taking the day off; so we’ll have
time for both – and maybe some extra fun with our friends too. I’ll let you know how that goes, but that’s
pretty much all I have for tonight; so all that’s left for this report is our
Christmas music pick. We’ve already had
our ‘Frozen’ Christmas song; so I’ll go with two of our favorite holiday moose
instead.
This is Ehlana Proctor; coming to you live
from what is now my past!
