Happy 5th Birthday, Caleb! Happy 20th Birthday, Rebecca!
Ethan:
While Caleb’s birthday celebration was a
highlight of our day; our adventures began with the annual arrival of our Elf
on the Shelf, Sparkle; along with our growing herd of Elf Pets. Our furry little stuffed buddies now include
our reindeer, Snowflake and Snowball; our St. Bernard, Blizzard; and our Arctic
Fox Cub, Misty – short for Mistletoe.
Cassie’s reindeer, Winter, flew to her townhouse instead of here; she
and Michael now have an Elf on the Shelf of their own that they’ve named Ginger
– for Gingerbread; they also have a St. Bernard they’ve named Sandy; and a fox
cub they’re calling Candy – for Candy Cane.
May wasn’t left out either; though we didn’t find out until later today
that she named her new fox cub Christy – for Christmas; and that she and Cassie
are getting teased about carrying their new fox cubs around with them at
school. We didn’t really get razzed
about that at school, but then our friends love the Elf Pets as much as we do;
and that is a comparatively-new Christmas tradition that is really catching on
in our little town.
Starting our day with the bonus Christmas
fun was great, and we had a good day at school too as we switched from
Thanksgiving to Christmas themes as we start our next study modules that’ll
take us through to the Christmas break.
Add in the excitement related to the Christmas pageant and starting to work
on the acts for that annual show; and it made for a great start to our school
week. Caleb’s birthday party didn’t
start right after school, but we only had time to stop in at home; help Mom
with the load of food and gifts we needed to take to the Everett’s house; and
then Ehlana and I were assigned younger cousins and friends support duty while
Mom helped out with the work for the dinner and party. We eventually helped out with games and other
activities for Caleb and his buddies too; dinner and dessert was an adventure
that most of the girls would like to purge from their minds; and then we helped
out with the clean-up and some more play time before the party was over and it
was time to head home.
Dad had some work to do after that; Ehlana
and I studied in the office and did a Magi lesson with Mom; and then we came up
to bed when ordered because it had been a long day even before the time-phased
studying and work.
That’s my news for today, and I’m ready to
nap now; so I’ll pass the journal-baton to Ehlana; and leave the Christmas
music choices up to her too.
Ethan – out!

Ehlana:
That works for me – especially when all I
really need to add to that update is the music videos. My choices for that are easy; so enjoy some
of our favorite Elf of the Shelf songs!
Sure, we’re junior Magi Masters, but we’re
kids too; and I am okay with admitting that I love my Elf and Elf Pets as much
as any kid.
After all, Santa is a Magi too, so if we
can help out with passing along a little bit of Magi power through our furry
little friends to help him out on Christmas Eve; I’m good with that too! ;^)
This is Ehlana Proctor; coming to you live
from what is now my past!
