Ethan:
This update is coming to you from home, but
our adventures have taken us to Crystal Springs and back in a flying trip that
included a Christmas dinner with the Malloys.
I’m getting ahead of the story, but that
was the best part of our day – at least from our wake-up call until now. Naomi and Aiden are spending the night
because we got home after bedtime for three parents and two younger siblings,
and since a sofa sleepover with my favorite cuddle buddy is an option; I’m a
very happy camper! ;^)
Tai Chi this morning was with seven;
breakfast was standard school day fare; and then while Ehlana and I went to
school; Cassie, Michael, and May headed for Crystal Springs with his parents –
in two vehicles. This is a fairly-late
shopping trip for Miranda and Jacob, but that worked out for them too when next
week might be too busy at the Inn for days off.
While they shopped, Ehlana and I had a good day at school; we had time
to get changed once home before Mom was ready to take us to the city too; and
we were there in time for that multi-family dinner. That was an awesome couple of hours of fun
and food; and then Mom kept Cassie’s car and is spending the night with Dad;
while Cassie, Michael, and May brought us home in the minivan.
We had work to do once here to unload the
van – as much as Cassie and Michael would let us help; we’re getting ready for
that sofa sleepover – or camping in the lounge for the couple that won’t be
cuddling together all night; and now I need to wrap this up so that we can
catch a short Christmas show and then get to that napping part of our day.
Ehlana can take the Christmas song pick for
tonight; and I’ll leave it up to her to decide how many more details she wants
to add to this report. For me; it was
the family and friends time that means most to me; so the details don’t matter –
especially when Valerie and Marcus are always good when out with their parents
at a restaurant. I think that’s a
judge-for-a-Mom thing – though it’s a bit funny that her job gets so much more
respect than Dad often gets for being a lawyer.
Okay, I’m out of here – and on to that
quality cuddle time with Naomi! ;^)
Ethan – out!

Ehlana:
Cassie, Michael, and May had a really great
day with his parents – including the drive time to the city for Michael while
Cassie and May got to have that time for some girl chat fun. Our school-time Christmas adventures
continued today; and we really are just having fun all day without any serious
work; since even the projects we finished today were Christmassy crafts. We were all happy to get the chance for a
Christmas visit with the Malloys. We –
the kids – were at a table together; and Valerie and Marcus were happy to hang
out with us while the adults got to entertain themselves. There were some small gifts to exchange, but
that wasn’t really important for most of us compared to having that time
together. There was a lot of driving
time for such a comparatively-short stay in the city, but that was only for
four of us; and we had bonus Christmas show entertainment each way – along with
the cuddle time for Ethan and Naomi.
We are going to watch one Christmas show to
wind down with; Cassie, Michael, and May are going to join us; and then we’ll
be on our own for the rest of the night.
The full-day in the city has our favorite collegians tired out, but it
is also a school night; so a movie marathon is not an option for the kids in
the house – not even when the parents are away!
We will be starting that show soon; so here’s
my Christmas pick for the night – and yes, I’m totally picking it to have a bit
of fun with Ethan and Naomi!
This is Ehlana Proctor; coming to you live
from what is now my past!
