Happy 8th Birthday, Tristan Johnson!
Happy 2nd Birthday, Melody Foster!
Ehlana and I didn’t help out with those birthday adventures, but the Carringtons had a vid-chat with Tristan and his family; and we know that Cassie and Michael sent gifts and did a vid-chat with Melody and her parents.
Here at home, we were kept busy with school; band practice; and teen praise team practice. The high today was warmer with the high topping fifty for a few hours, but we didn’t get to enjoy much outdoor time with everything else we had on the go. Ehlana and I hosted the dinner and study time between practices; and we took Silkie for a bedtime walk after we left the church and while seeing Naomi and Aiden to their homes. The practices were all about Christmas music, and we’ve loved all of that; so we are happy as we wind down toward nap time now. Mom did do a Magi lesson with us after we got home from that walk; we did a bit of charity work in the office; and now we’re ready to wrap up our day and get some sleep.
We’re not going to offer much of a world news report. Political posturing topped the cycle today, but most of those ‘efforts’ are going nowhere; and the worst horrors continue in Ukraine and the Middle East. Venezuela tensions continue with no serious attempts to de-escalate the threats that are all coming from ‘our’ side and that are supported by baseless accusations and justifications for starting an illegal war. Ehlana and I want to stay happy; so that’s all we’ll offer tonight. Our ninth Christmas music video pick is from another Hallmark movie, and we’ll mention that the actress singing this song is also an accomplished musician and songwriter – and this is one of the songs she’s written. Enjoy the music; and we’ll go and get some sleep right now.
