Ethan and Ehlana:
Happy 25th Birthday, Lily Spencer!
Cassie and Michael are helping out a bit with their friend’s special day, but we haven’t been involved; and our day has been filled with studying and work instead of partying.
Tai Chi was indoors; we had a hot breakfast; and then our academic adventures included a test, some project work, and the start of the wind-down toward the Christmas break. Ehlana and I headed to the lab or archives after school; we stayed and worked until seven-thirty; and then we came home for a late dinner that Mom kept for us after having her own meal with Dad instead of waiting for us. She talked with us while we ate and Dad worked in the office; did a Magi lesson with us after we cleaned up; and then we came upstairs to wrap up our day early with the usual computer checks and twin chat – with the talk time mostly being about our respective work at the lab.
For our world news update, we’re only going to advise that nothing has changed for the top stories around the world. That reality is leading to more unrest among ‘normal’ people everywhere; and it becomes more-obvious every day just how disconnected our leaders and the uber-rich are from the rest of us. For an example of that, we caught an interview with Ukraine’s military leader where he admitted that his country and army were being destroyed while also claiming that victory for Ukraine was certain and inevitable. That kind of delusion is amazing; since he appeared to have no care for the costs of his continued fighting on his own country and the people. That kind of delusion is wide-spread with western political leaders; so we don’t expect anything to change until it is too late and defeat is on the doorstep. Let’s also mention a story from Germany with their leader claiming plans to make Germany the largest military force in Europe. Our question to him would be – how did that work out for his country during the first and second world wars? To the rest of the western world leaders – how insane are you to hear that kind of rhetoric and stand by and do nothing?
That’s enough for today. We’re tired and ready to get a bit of extra sleep. On the eighth day of December; our Christmas video pick is now a classic; and we love this version from one of our favorite singers.
