Ethan's and Ehlana's Journals - December 2, 2025

Ethan and Ehlana:

Happy 26th Birthday, Rebecca!

The top news of the day is the Moms’ Christmas shopping trip that many of our favorite mothers went to Crystal Springs for while their kids were busy at school.  Rebecca had the day off from the Pizzeria and went on the trip too – along with Cassie and some other friends to shop and celebrate her special day too.  Our day was quiet by comparison, but we had fun with our classes; and then Aiden, Aaron, and I were glad to get to do our first school band practice after school.  We spent that time getting ready for the Christmas parades – and the first one is this Friday evening in Pinehurst.  We should back up and mention that Tai Chi was indoors again this morning and more fun with our best friends; and then we ended up getting in on the breakfast buffet at the Inn before school – a bonus that we loved a lot before moving on to our academic adventures.

Ehlana and I hosted the dinner and study session between band and praise team practices; and Dad opted for Pizzeria pizza that he brought home after work for all of us.  That was a hit with our friends, but before we go on; we should mention that Cassie and Rowen made sure that Rebecca was home from the city in time for her birthday dinner at the Inn with family and friends.  We weren’t in on any of that fun, but then we were busy with the studying and then our teen praise team practice.  With Thanksgiving out of the way; we’ve moved on to focus on Christmas music; and we worked a bit longer than usual to get through each song at least once.

Mom was home by the time we got back from the church; and Dad had already helped her out with unloading the minivan.  We had fun with Mom’s shopping story time – without certain details; and then we headed up to the third floor for bath or Jacuzzi time.  Now we’re wrapping up with the usual computing and twin chat; and we’re going to take the night off from writing about the bad news from around the world.  Instead of doing that, we’re going to stay happy; and wrap up with our Christmas video pick of the day.  For the second day of December, we’re going with a song from our favorite children’s choir, and while we’re always home for Christmas each year; we love the message and wish that everyone could have the kind of Christmases we’re blessed to have here with our family and friends!
