Ehlana and Ethan:
The top news from around the family today is that Uncle Mark, Aunt Grace, and their kids headed out west this morning and will be visiting his family for the next two weeks. We’ll miss them while away; and hope that they have an awesome vacation and visit with the Everett side of their family! Cassie and Michael getting to play in France might rank higher on the fun level for anyone in our family, but since that is a continuing story; so the ‘what’ they’re doing is the only news for another of their ongoing travel adventures around the world. As we’ve mentioned, they are not going to be visiting any of the Olympic venues or events, so their first full day in France included a tour of museums and other historic sites in Paris. Sampling local cuisine has been a priority too, and we’re sure that will continue to be amazing for them, but then we do have two world-class chefs here in our little town; and know that most people would be jealous of us for that – regardless of where they are from or how good the food is where they live!
Moving along, our day has been busy, but we play-worked at the lab or archives this morning, and the only change for me is that I didn’t spend any time with Uncle Adam while he’s full-time at the clinic for the next two weeks. We packed a lunch and biked with some of our friends and cousins to Quarry Lake this afternoon; enjoying the exercise and the water fun at our favorite campground. While we’re always tempted to have daily camping or co-ed sleepovers with our favorite cuddle buddies, we didn’t do that tonight because we needed to get more family business and charity work done after we had a quiet dinner-for-four with Mom and Dad. That work went well – along with a Magi lesson; bath or Jacuzzi time followed; and now we’re pretty much ready to get some sleep. There are times when we sometimes wish that we took more travel vacations on days when other favorite people are doing that, but we really can’t complain about that when we have had a few, fairly-awesome trips – not to mention that we also would only want to go on those adventures with our best friends. That won’t be happening again this year, but we do hope to get out more often – and we do at least have our Grade Eight trip to look forward to for this school year!
It is time to wrap this up, and we are not going to offer any depressing world news commentary because we want to stay happy as we head off to dreamland soon. Stay tuned for our next report while we call it a night; get back to full power; and then enjoy whatever adventures that will be ahead of us tomorrow.
Until next time, live with love, fellow Magi of the Light!
