Ethan and Ehlana:
Happy 2nd Birthday, Sophie Denninger!
As always, we sent family gifts for Sophie’s special day, but didn’t have any other involvement – though we did get an update via Christina; and know that she’s had a happy day.
Our day began with Tai Chi by the river and breakfast with Mom and Dad; another nice-weather day allowed for more outdoor time during our academic adventures; and then we had a busy band practice as we got started on learning the songs we’ll need for the Christmas holidays. We love all of our music opportunities, but admit that it is tougher to stick to schedules when the weather is so great. We missed out on another biking and play adventure with a gang of friends that don’t have band practice; and feel the loss more now that we’re really heading toward winter and won’t have many more of the warm-weather days.
After band practice, we came home on our own; helped out with the work on either side of dinner with Mom and Dad; and then we biked to the lab so that we could play there for a couple of hours. We ended up staying there for a bit more than three hours; used a time phase to get even more done; and then we only got into a bit of trouble for getting home late. Yes, that was mostly for fun, since Mom always knows exactly where we are; and we definitely do not need to comment on why our parents were so happy when we did get home! Try not to have too much fun with that, future readers. Mom is a Magi Master; and our parents can literally be ‘happy’ in that no-details-required way in the blink of an eye! ;^)
We really don’t need to stay on those kinds of thoughts; so let’s wrap this up. After getting home and having a visit and snack with Mom and Dad, we came upstairs; got ready for bed; and have been winding down since then with our usual bedtime computing. The news around the world continues to be tough to keep up with when there is so much bad going on, but we’re going to continue to focus on the good in our lives; and not descend into sadness or despair that would come with worrying about all of the things that we can’t do anything about regardless of how much we wish that we could. That’ll work as a segue to our Cassie and Michael update. They’ve been busy with a work day in and around Buenos Aires. They’re going to be there for part of tomorrow too, but then they will be heading west and will make their way across Argentina and on to Santiago, Chile. We’ll keep you posted on their journey – though future archives readers will likely read their journals long-before getting around to ours; since we just the ‘boring’ younger siblings! ;^)
That’s a humbling thought as well as being fun to think about; so let’s wrap up on that; and we’ll move on now and get some sleep!
Until next time, live with love, fellow Magi of the Light!
