Ethan and Ehlana:
Happy 8th Birthday, Yvonne York!
Ehlana wants me to comment on Yvonne’s special day as one of my future cousins-in-law, and that is true, but we didn’t have any personal involvement in her birthday fun; and Naomi only had a breakfast vid-chat with her cousins, aunt, and uncle.
As for our own adventures today, Tai Chi by the river was freezing – literally; and we went outside anyway because we’re not ready to move our workouts indoors for the winter quite yet! A hot breakfast helped with getting warm again, and while that wasn’t a gourmet meal like the one that Cassie and Michael shared with his family at Jake and Stephanie’s house; we enjoyed the quiet time with Mom and Dad. Cassie and Michael led the way for making everything about church and Sunday school fun; and we really loved the reception they got from everyone after being away for a month. Maybe that will change over time once they’ve been living here again for a while, but then we have a lot of collegians home this week too; and we are not biased while noting that Cassie and Michael were more-popular.
Moving along, Cassie and Michael brought Sierra, Stuart, and Luke with them when they came over for lunch at our house. We had Naomi, Aiden, Sophia, and Aaron with us for that meal and parts or all of the afternoon; so that was a highlight of our day. The weather has been a bit cooler today with a high only in the low-fifties, but we still went out to bike and play for a while; some of that time was with Cassie, Michael, and the gang of kids with them; and then we moved on to do our own thing while they eventually dropped off two kids at the furniture store and one at the Norton farms – all of them with grandparents; and we came home for a warm-up break and some music fun before we needed to get ready for the late buffet at the Inn.
From what we heard at dinner while mostly taking care of younger kids and cousins, Cassie and Michael fit in a handful of cameo moments with family and friends that included a tour of Rowen and Tim’s new house, but they had dinner with parents and grandparents. That meal was another highlight of our day, and the Inn was packed – mostly because of all of the collegians and the families that wanted to share a special dinner with them tonight. We came home after leaving the Inn and didn’t do the walks home with our friends because they went home with their families instead. We can report that Brianna, Faith, and Lady are spending the night with Cassie and Michael; and they may have been first to having a sleepover with them because they are the most-adorable cousins in the family!
Okay, our aunts and uncles and the younger parent-cousins might disagree with that when it comes to their own kids, but they’d be wrong about that; and our Mom and Dad would agree with us! ;^)
Moving along, Mom did a Magi lesson with us tonight; we did a bit of charity and family business work; and then it was bath or Jacuzzi time. Now that we’re clean, warm, and ready for bed; it is time to wrap this up and get some sleep. We only have a three-day school week and have a lot on the schedule through the holiday weekend; so we need to rest up when we can – including starting right now!
Until next time, live with love, fellow Magi of the Light!
