Ethan and Ehlana:
We’ve just finished our fall chores day; a group families’ dinner is up next; and we tentatively have plans for Ehlana to go home with Aiden after dinner while I’ll be with Naomi. That’s why this update is early again; so let’s get to it!
Biking and playing at the park was fun, but still felt chilly by comparison to the warmer days we had earlier in the week. That’s why we came home early-enough to help with cooking dinner; that meal with Mom and Dad was great; and then we – the tweens – helped to entertain Mom and Dad with our band practice. That was a highlight of our evening, but then the movies and cuddle time in the lounge was great too. Sophia and Aaron are getting more-comfortable with joining our group; and they are even managing to enjoy the teasing they get from their families and some friends thanks to joining in on the co-ed sleepovers. For the record, they haven’t done that at either of their own homes yet, but we won’t be surprised if they do try that before the end of the year – especially during the Christmas break!
We stayed up late last night; Tai Chi by the river was cold but we went with that anyway; and then Mom had some Magi-powered fun with us before breakfast by having Ehlana and I ‘heal’ our friends with the help of a group power-share. The good news is that we were all at full-power by the time we sat down for a pancakes and bacon breakfast while the not-really-bad news is that we needed all of that energy for our fall chores! As usual, we worked at a bunch of yards – including Cassie and Michael’s place; there were a couple of handfuls of parents and a small gang of cousins and friends working too; and all of the work on our collective lists got finished. Some of the younger kids weren’t kept working all day but we were; and now we are ready for a quiet night. That won’t happen during our pot-luck dinner, but we’ll let you know how that goes for us; since we need to go and help with the pre-dinner work – including getting the dining room and sunroom tables set.
The rest of our story for today can wait for tomorrow night; since we won’t be together later anyway. That’s also all we have for now, and while the work today wasn’t exciting or interesting, we are happy with what we accomplished; and still had fun with some of our favorite people. Before we move on, we should mention that Cassie and Michael have been spending their last day in Argentina; they’ll be in Chile by sometime tonight; and will get to spend their day off on Sunday in and around Santiago. As always, Cassie and Michael are successfully completing every meeting and site visit and often getting more done as they find new opportunities that they can take advantage of right away. A chores day doesn’t come close to what they’re doing with their work, and they are definitely having more fun on their trip, but we’re happy; and our turns to do more will come soon-enough.
Okay, Ehlana has already managed to develop cures, vaccines, and amazing crops; so that really only applies to the boring future archivist in the room! ;^)
We really need to go now; so that’s all and we’re out of here!
Until next time, live with love, fellow Magi of the Light!
