Ethan and Ehlana:
We have loved this start to our first holiday weekend of the summer!
Tai Chi by the river and breakfast with Mom and Dad made for a great start to the day; our school day was a blast with getting to spend most of the day outdoors while cleaning up around town; and the Pizzeria pizza lunch break was a highlight too! The fun level kicked up a few notches after school. We checked in with Mom and had a snack break; moved on to Cassie and Michael’s house after that; and they ended up going on a bike ride with us around town and on the trails at the park before they sponsored a Pizzeria pizza snack break that we shared around one of the tables by the river and behind the pizzeria while chatting with some of the teens and kids that were hanging out there too.
Naomi and Aiden stayed with us for dinner at our house while Cassie and Michael moved on to their own house to wait for their incoming weekend guests. They have Martin, Kimberly, and Dawn with them tonight; and they were also going to have some hang-out time with our cousins and some friends – including Rowen, Tim, Jillian, and Julian. While they’ve been busy, we’ve spent the evening welcoming incoming guests at multiple homes. That’s included the Rice family parents and grandparents at our house, but we’ve also checked in with the rest of our cousins for at least a minute or two; and had some play time with most of our younger cousins. Everyone is here as we’re writing this, but we don’t have any cousins or friends staying at our house tonight. That feels a bit weird, but our best friends have family responsibilities too; and we’ll be sharing our cousins with the rest of our hometown family – or with their favorite friends too for cases like Jaimie, Kaitlyn, and their boyfriends! ;^)
We have a busy day planned for tomorrow with shopping, a trail ride, major family meals, and more; so we’re okay with the chance for a bit of extra sleep tonight. That’s also all we have for tonight, so we’ll wrap this up; and move on to that quality down time right now.
Until next time, live with love, fellow Magi of the Light!
