Happy 4th Anniversary, Garrett and Jen!
That’s our top story of the day, but since this is a double-update; let’s start from the beginning – yesterday.
Our Wednesday began with Tai Chi by the river and a quick breakfast for three. While we headed off to school, Mom got ready for her trip to the city; met up with Cassie and Michael; and they took two vehicles to Crystal Springs so that Mom could have Cassie’s car for her trip home while Cassie and Michael used the minivan for the supplies that they didn’t put into Dad’s truck. We had a good day at school; the dinner that we mentioned at Naomi’s was great; and then we had fun at the park during the co-ed practices while taking care of the younger cousins and friends. Cassie and Michael got home by the time we got to their house; we helped with unloading the minivan; and then we stayed up too-late hanging out together and watching a movie and talking for hours before getting around to the co-ed sofa sleepover part of our night.
Compared to that, our Thursday has been quieter – though Tai Chi by the river at Cassie and Michael’s house for six and a hot breakfast made for an awesome start to our day. Warm and sunny weather led to bonus outdoor time at school; we ended up having an after-school visit with Cassie and Michael because Mom was still there after a plan change that had her bringing Dad’s truck home and leaving Cassie’s car with Dad. The truck had been unloaded by then, but we helped out with some work that included setting up a patio table set. We went home with Mom to have dinner there because Cassie and Michael were with their friends for Garrett and Jen’s dinner-party. While our dinner was of the easy-meal variety, we enjoyed that chat time with Mom; and then game night at the Inn was pretty good – though we would have had more fun if Cassie and Michael could have been there too. Naomi let me help her out with winning the junior title, and Mom and Miranda won the senior prize; so it was a good night for our family from the winning perspective too.
After leaving the Inn, we collected Silkie from home; walked Naomi and Aiden to their houses; and then our evening ended with bath or Jacuzzi time because we’d all had enough fun by then. Now we’re finished with our bedtime computing and twin chat fun; that’s all we have; and it is definitely time to crash and nap – so we will!
