Ethan and Ehlana:
Happy 1st Birthday, Luke Norton!
Happy 5th Anniversary, Mitch and Lynn Bassett!
Michael’s cousins had a special breakfast at the Inn and are now gone for the weekend; so we probably won’t get any details – and likely won’t want them! Cassie and Michael were at Luke’s party this afternoon; and spent more time with him through to earlier this evening while Rebecca needed to be at the Pizzeria. We sent a gift with them, but didn’t see Luke today; and that was our only involvement in his special day.
As for our day, Tai Chi was chilly, but still by the river; and then our school day was quiet and uneventful. It didn’t get that warm today and we had some rain off-and-on this afternoon; so we stayed indoors after school. Since it has been a while, we had a band practice and some bonus music practice fun. We haven’t been writing about our other music very much, but Naomi has been playing trumpet for long-enough that she’ll be getting an early start with the school band for the Memorial Day parade; and Ehlana, Aiden, and I are all working on learning our instruments so that we’ll hopefully get early invitations in time for the Christmas parades with the school band. Yes, I’m going to be teased about playing trumpet with Naomi, but Ehlana and Aiden are doing their own things – the flute for Ehlana and tenor sax for Aiden. We really do have a lot to learn, but should mention that our Magi gifts do make our musical training fairly-easy and we do each have a lot of talent for music.
Moving along, we didn’t have a major family-and-friends’ dinner-and-movie night, but we did have some guests; Dad got home early-enough for the movie; and we had a lot of fun with everyone that did come over today. Naomi and Aiden aren’t here tonight because this is going to be a chores weekend to get ready for the holiday. That’s also why we’re going to bed early for a Friday night, so that’s all we have for this report. We’re ready to get that extra rest now; so we’re out of here!
Until next time, live with love, fellow Magi of the Light!
