Ethan and Ehlana:
Stuart Stone’s birth last night is the top news story today, and related to that; we also got to see Cassie and Michael today because they decided to make a flying trip home to meet their nephew instead of waiting until after final exams.
They got up very early; arrived in town with time to meet Stuart at the clinic; and then be at church in time for the service – and all of the family fun that went along with the baby news. For obvious reasons, we didn’t get to actually spend much time with them, but we were part of the gang that had lunch at the Inn as part of a mini-celebration for the Stone and Wingborough families; and we got to meet Stuart too while Cassie and Michael were having their last visit with him before they headed back to their townhouse by mid-afternoon.
After getting a bunch of rain last night, having a sunny day was welcome; though it only warmed up into the high-sixties. That was good-enough for an afternoon bike ride with Naomi, Aiden, and a few other friends; so we did that after Cassie and Michael left town. The rain left some of the trails a bit muddy, so we stayed on the main trails; did an ice cream break at the Emporium; and headed for our homes in time for dinner. For us, that was a quiet meal with Mom and Dad; we followed that up with a work session and Magi lesson in the office; and bath or Jacuzzi time just ended for us so we’re ready to wind down to nap time now.
That also seems like enough for this update, though before we move on; we should add that Jake, Stephanie, and Stuart are home now; Sierra will hopefully continue to have fun being a big sister whether they collectively get much sleep or not; and we are sure that they will be in for some very interesting adventures in the coming days and weeks!
We may or may not have more on that if anything interesting happens with Jake, Stephanie, and their kids, but we really are ready to move on now; so we’re out of here and back to the ‘real’ world!
