Ethan and Ehlana:
Happy 11th Birthday, Susan Connor!
Happy 2nd Birthday, Cassidy Connor!
This is going to be an interesting day for the Connor clan, and while Susan and Cassidy are cousins; this is the first time that they’re having part of their birthday celebrations together as a family event because Cassidy was born during the first major pandemic lockdown; and then their respective birthdays last year were lower-key because they were on Good Friday. The joint-family part of their fun today is actually happening now – a lunchtime party; and then Ehlana and Naomi will be going to Susan’s party and sleepover while Cassidy’s parents have other plans for their daughter and a few friends. We’ll need to offer the rest of the news from Susan’s party with the next report – along with whatever Aiden and I end up doing for the rest of the day while our favorite girls are busy.
As for our news-so-far since the last report; our after-school biking and play time with our friends was pretty good – though the high-fifties is starting to feel too-cool for this time of year. The family-and-friends’ dinner-and-play evening was a mixed bag of fun and weird that was mostly-weird thanks to Zack and Eli as they continued to keep their pranks and jokes fun going through to the last minutes of April Fools’ Day. They generally got all of the laughs they wanted with only a bit of parental trouble, so by their standards; their efforts were a huge success. We loved the pot-luck dinner; the family-rated games and outdoor adventures; and then the movie, cuddle time, and co-ed sofa sleepover with our best friends after the rest of our guests headed home collectively made for an awesome end to our day.
There isn’t much news for today so far. Tai Chi was by the river; breakfast for eight was standard, better fare as usual for a chores morning; and then Ehlana and I were put to work both indoors and out while our best friends moved on to work with their own families. That work is now done for the day; and this update is being multi-tasked with getting ready for our respective plans or non-plans for the rest of the day. As already mentioned, the rest of our story for the day can wait for tomorrow night, and we do need to get downstairs for lunch soon; so we’re out of here and ready to move on to the most-entertaining parts of our day!
Until next time, this little blast from your near or distant past is written for you with love from Ethan and Ehlana Proctor – twin junior Magi Masters of the Light!
