Ethan and Ehlana:
We’re on the road and heading toward Cassie and Michael’s townhouse to spend the weekend with them and attend the football game tomorrow! Mom and Dad are both driving because Dad will be in the city next week, but we’re with Mom, Miranda, Naomi, and Aiden in the minivan while Dad has a truckload of guys including Jacob, Zack, Eli, and Ryan Bassett. The caravan we left town with isn’t currently together, but we were mostly together until our dinner break stop; and will meet up again at the townhouses – mostly because there wasn’t any point in trying to stay together in traffic on the highway.
Our morning and school day were good, but we were also busy this morning with the ‘surprise’ news of the trip that meant getting packed for the weekend before we headed to school. We have quite a gang for this trip, but not many younger cousins; so we’ll only have minimal work to help with keeping them entertained. The parents were ready to go by the time we were done school, so we left right away, and as long as we don’t have any major traffic jams heading into the city; we’ll be there in time to still have some play time with Cassie and Michael – or at least with Cassie and Rowen if Michael and Tim have game night curfew to deal with tonight. The trip so far has been pretty good, but our friends would think that we’re boring because we’ve already done our weekend homework; and our chat time with Mom and Miranda has mostly been serious or trip-plans-related.
This update is happening now because we’re going to put our computers away now and don’t know whether we’ll have time to do this later. Before we wrap it up, though, we should mention that our weekend getaway gang includes Naomi’s parents and brother, the Carringtons; and members of the Emerson and Landry clans. In addition to the football game, we’ll also be celebrating Eli’s birthday this weekend, but we’ll have more on that during the next couple of reports.
That’s pretty much all we have for now, though, so we’ll get back to the travel games with our friends now and eventually get to the weekend fun with Cassie, Michael, and their friends. Stay tuned for all of that news; and, until next time...
