Ethan and Ehlana:
We are not doing a sleepover tonight, but that’s because Aiden needs to be home tonight and tomorrow morning for his parents’ anniversary. We’ll be hosting a babysitting night here tomorrow night while the parents go out for an anniversary dinner and party; so we’re taking it easy on Mom and Dad tonight! ;^)
Moving along, we’ve had a really good day. Our academic adventures kept us entertained while at school; we went with another play afternoon with our friends because the weather was awesome today. We biked the trails; played at the park; and had a picnic snakc break that included treats from the Emporium. Mom hosted our family-and-friends dinner and movie night; so we came home in time to help with the work and kid control. Naomi and Aiden were with us for all of that while three of their parents were busy at work. The nice weather allowed for cooking outdoors, so Mom also had guy help with that part of the dinner preparation from Grandpa, Uncle Nick, and others.
Dinner was in the sunroom for the kids and dining room for the adults; we followed that up with a group clean-up and some play time at the park; and then our movie choice was Halloween-themed and kid-friendly. As usual, Zack and Eli needed to make fun of the movie pick, but that was only for show; and we know that they do like Girl vs. Monsters – including all of the music; and we won’t comment on the possible crushes they might have for the lead actress.
Dad got home from the city in time for that movie; had a nap through part of it; and was sent to his room while our guests headed for their homes. We’ll also avoided commenting on what Mom and Dad are doing now after being apart for the past work week, but after we were on our own and on the third floor; we played music for a while; got ready for bed; and have been watching another Halloween movie since then while chatting and surfing the internet. We shouldn’t have stayed up this late because we have a chores day ahead of us tomorrow to go along with the plans for tomorrow night, but we like to have the extra time for just the two of us now and then; and tonight has been one of those times.
That is all we have from home for today, but as we wrap this up; we should mention that Cassie, Michael, and Tim are away for the weekend for their college football game tomorrow. Rowen isn’t with them this weekend because she didn’t want to spend the money on the flights; so she’ll be hanging out with her computer-geek classmates and watching the game from somewhere on-campus. We’re keeping an eye out for any potential problems for Cassie and Michael from Gwyneth since this game is in the North-East, but we don’t have anything to report from the Hathorne Industries systems to suggest that Gwyneth is heading there way so far. We’ll hope that doesn’t change tomorrow, but after watching Halloween movies tonight; we’re thinking about Gwyneth – and talking about her; since we do expect more problems with her this fall. Details would be nice for a warning for us, but that never seems to happen even with the foresight we have gotten immediately ahead of previous attacks; so we can only stay alert and continue to be prepared for anything Gwyneth might throw at us.
That’s a Halloween-worthy thought to end this report on, and we really need to get to sleep soon; so, until next time...
