Happy 34th Birthday, Uncle Nick!
Make that four school days in a row with some birthday fun as part of our adventures – though this time was different because we were there for a major birthday dinner; and then we all went to the Inn for game night. That’s helped to make our last day of September pretty good, but we’re also tired; so let’s keep this report short and then we need to crash and nap for a while.
Our day began with Tai Chi by the river and a standard school day breakfast; we had an entertaining school day that included some extra indoors time due to some of the hit-and-miss rain that has been rolling through the area today and kept things damp this afternoon and evening. We didn’t end up at the lab or playing with our friends after school because we were drafted to help out with the birthday dinner work and kid control until and through that meal. Uncle Nick had a lot of favorites to choose from for dinner; and we all got to enjoy the pot-luck options from most of the adult guests. We helped with the clean-up too; and then game night at the Inn was fun, but not newsworthy – at least for our family and championships. Naomi and I didn’t win again this week, but didn’t try very hard to do that while busy with other things – like continuing to keep our younger cousins entertained while the parents enjoyed more games and birthday-rated fun.
Mom did a Magi lesson with us after getting home from the Inn, but while Mom and Dad are doing more work in the office tonight; we came up to our rooms because Mom thinks we’re overdoing it right now and need to have at least one more not-to-late night. We’re okay with that order, and that’s also all we have for now too; so, until next time...
