Happy 34^th Birthday, Uncle Nick!

Make that four school days in a row with some birthday fun as part of our adventures – though this time was different because we were there for a major birthday dinner; and then we all went to the Inn for game night.  That’s helped to make our last day of September pretty good, but we’re also tired; so let’s keep this report short and then we need to crash and nap for a while.

Our day began with Tai Chi by the river and a standard school day breakfast; we had an entertaining school day that included some extra indoors time due to some of the hit-and-miss rain that has been rolling through the area today and kept things damp this afternoon and evening.  We didn’t end up at the lab or playing with our friends after school because we were drafted to help out with the birthday dinner work and kid control until and through that meal.  Uncle Nick had a lot of favorites to choose from for dinner; and we all got to enjoy the pot-luck options from most of the adult guests.  We helped with the clean-up too; and then game night at the Inn was fun, but not newsworthy – at least for our family and championships.  Naomi and I didn’t win again this week, but didn’t try very hard to do that while busy with other things – like continuing to keep our younger cousins entertained while the parents enjoyed more games and birthday-rated fun.

Mom did a Magi lesson with us after getting home from the Inn, but while Mom and Dad are doing more work in the office tonight; we came up to our rooms because Mom thinks we’re overdoing it right now and need to have at least one more not-to-late night.  We’re okay with that order, and that’s also all we have for now too; so, until next time...

Happy 21^st Birthday, Michael!

We don’t actually have much news to offer from his special day; since he doesn’t have much time for celebrating around his classes, studies, and football practice.  Our third birthday video chat at breakfast in a row was fun; and we’ll leave it up to Cassie and their friends to help Michael out with having a happy day.  For at least some of those adventures; we won’t want the details! ;^)

Moving along, we’ve had another nice weather day, if not quite as hot; so we had bonus outdoor time again while at school.  We were very tempted to play with our friends after school, but went with the lab or archives fun instead until dinnertime with Mom and Dad.  We had another work-study evening in the office; followed that up with a music practice; and now we’re winding down toward nap time.

That’s pretty much all we have for this report too, and a bit of extra sleep tonight would be good for us anyway; so, until next time...

Happy 9^th Birthday, Valerie Malloy!

Day Two of our school week began with another breakfast-time birthday video chat; so that was a fun way to get our day going – in addition to the always-awesome Tai Chi by the river.  Another amazing weather day allowed for lots of outdoor time while at school; and we opted for the play time with our friends after school.  Biking the trails and exploring along the way kept us busy for most of that time; and we had our ice cream break by the falls near the statue instead of at the park.

We’ve been busy since getting home too, but the dinner clean-up work and the work-studying in the office parts of our evening didn’t include anything newsworthy; so that’s pretty much all we have for this report.  The music play time and Jacuzzi or bath wind-down for our evening worked for us, but we’re also ready to get some sleep now; so, until next time...

Happy 16^th Birthday, Jaimie Proctor!

We had a birthday video chat with Jaimie – and her family – during breakfast, but the best parts of her day happened after that and are still on-going because she’s having a best girlfriends’ sleepover.  The top news for Jaimie’s special day includes getting her next-level driver’s license and then getting a car from her parents and extended family.  Unlike Violet, that wasn’t a brand new car, but it is a higher-end used car that is reasonably-sporty while still being a sedan instead of a sports car.  We expect her first visit to us to happen sometime soon! ;^)

Getting to our news of the day, we had a good start to our morning with Tai Chi by the river and the breakfast that included our chat with Jaimie.  Great weather had us spending a lot of our school time outdoors; and then we were at the lab after school for more work-play time – though making that choice was tougher with such awesome warm and sun around to distract us!  The rest of our day was standard school day action with a barbeque dinner and work-study evening.  We got a lot done; don’t have anything else newsworthy to add; and now we need to crash and nap for a while; so, until next time...

Ethan and Ehlana:

Let’s begin this report with a recap of the rest of yesterday.

Our kid-rated adventures began with a social hour or so as our guests for the night arrived and most of the parents took that opportunity to get ready for their night out.  Pizzeria pizza was ordered for our dinner, so after some outdoor biking and play time, we had that meal in the sunroom; and we won’t mention the less-fun parts of doing that with certain guys that needed to play games and have eating and drinking contests.

After helping out with the clean-up, we still had time for a play visit to the park before dark; and then it was time for gaming in the lounge and Halloween movies in the living room.  I got razzed for spending too much time with Naomi while watching movies instead of hanging out with the guys, but I just wasn’t in the mood for the practical jokes and pranks; so staying out of the way as much as possible was for the best for everyone.  We collectively managed to have fun most or all of the time; so let’s skip over the cameo annoyances from last night too.  We didn’t have a co-ed sofa sleepover with such a large gang in the house, but some of us still stayed up late and didn’t split up for our beds until after Mom and Dad got home from Sheldon’s.  According to the news reports that were kid-friendly, Aiden’s parents had fun at their dinner and party; and we still don’t need any details from their kid-free night.

We also want to mention that Michael, Tim, and their team won again this weekend; they’re four-and-oh on the season so far; and off to a best start for their college team in quite a few years.

Moving on to the news from today, Tai Chi by the river with a small gang was fun; breakfast and getting ready for church was a crazy blast of too-busy; and then at least some of us were ready for the break during church and Sunday school.  We’re enjoying the current lesson plan that Pastor John and our teachers are doing for the fall, and while we don’t cover anything that is new for us; we still enjoy the interpretations and talking about bible studies and applications for our lives.

We’ve had another awesome weather day here, so after church, we had lunch in the back yard; we helped out with some indoor clean-up; and then Mom set us free to play for the rest of the afternoon while she and Dad worked in the office.  We ended up going biking with Naomi, Aiden, and parts of their families with extra friends; had an ice cream break at Aiden’s house; and then we came home in time to help Mom with making dinner.  Pasta and sides worked for all of us; and then we had a work-study evening that included a Magi shielding lesson; family business work; and some music play time before we split up for bath or Jacuzzi time.

That brings us up to now; we’re ready to get some sleep soon; and that’s all we have for tonight anyway; so, until next time...
