Ehlana's and Ethan's Journals - September 4, 2020

Ehlana and Ethan:

Most of the kids around here might tell you that the news of the day is that the new, live-action Mulan movie is out today.  We won’t be going to the city to see it, but we’ll be happy to watch it online; since that’s an option we have as the movie studios try to come up with new ways to make money while customers may avoid theaters until they feel it is safe to go again.

Watching that movie is now on our entertainment plan for tonight; though we haven’t decided whether to do that indoors or in our tents after the campfire.  We’ll keep you posted on that, but this update is early again because we don’t want to do it later; and expect to be too-busy – even if that might not be with co-ed cuddling or camping. ;^)

That wasn’t an option last night; since we ended up with boys and girls tents with younger cousins.  The barbeque dinner, play time, and camping added up to an awesome night; and we loved the extra exercise buddies this morning too – especially since Uncle Adam and Aunt Leanne joined us too.  We wrapped up our chores by mid-morning; and have been playing since then – though we’ve multi-tasked that with helping out with our younger cousins and keeping them entertained too.  Biking and swimming were the top two activities; and we just finished setting up extra tents for our incoming cousins.

Uncle Blaine, Aunt Alison, and their kids are the only weekend guests to arrive so far, but they’re also still getting settled in at the Everett’s house; so we haven’t spent much time with them.  The Rice clan won’t be here this weekend, and neither will the McEwans; but most of the Johnson family will be home and getting here over the next few hours.  Cassie and Michael are not coming home, and while we’d love to see them, since there isn’t really anything major going on this weekend; they’re going to stay at their townhouse and keep up with their studies without having the distractions or all of the ravel time.  Rowen and Tim are staying too, and that seems to be a trend for our local collegians; so it will definitely seem quieter around here this weekend.

We do still plan on having a lot of fun, though, and need to get back to that now; so that’s all for today.  Stay tuned – and we’ll hope to have a lot of exciting adventures to write about – even without championship baseball games or a major party at the park!

This is Ehlana and Ethan Proctor; live from the hidden home of the Magi of the Light – and May the Magi Force be with you!
