Ethan and Ehlana:
Our dinner-and-a-movie night with family and friends was a lot of fun last night, but didn’t include anything newsworthy to write about beyond the fact that we love sharing those moments with some of our favorite people. The sleepover with our best friends ended up being of the non-co-ed sleepover variety because we are junior softies and caved in when our cousins and some other friends wanted to stay for the night too – and our parents allowed us to keep the gang of kids here too. That meant a late night of video gaming for Aiden and me; and a not-quite-so-late blast of movies and girl chat time for Ehlana and Naomi.
Having a gang here for breakfast made for a busy start to our day – after Tai Chi for seven that was more-fun thanks to Brianna getting up early to play too while Zack slept in; and then our morning rolled along as most of our guests headed for their homes or elsewhere while we had extra chores that included cleaning all of the guest rooms and bathrooms. There was a lot of laundry to do too; so we were kept busy until we stopped for a late lunch with Mom and Dad. They set us free for the afternoon, but we opted for some lab or archives play time instead of going out to play with our friends. It has warmed up a bit today, but still didn’t get much above freezing, so while some snow play was popular with other kids and teens; we preferred staying warm. Ehlana would like to mention that she worked on some Covid-related experiments this afternoon along with reviewing the latest data coming in from around the world. We were both particularly interested in data coming in from some of the highly-vaccinated countries, and while it is too-soon for any major new conclusions; we’re a bit concerned that there could be some new issues related to vaccines depressing immune systems against current and future variants. Ehlana’s experiments were related to that – and our own ‘vaccine’ treatments, but she didn’t find any problems with that for us; so we’re still confident that our friends, family, and neighbors continue to be protected from Covid.
We came home in time for dinner with Mom and Dad; followed that up with a Magi lesson and a bit of work in the office – after taking care of the clean-up; and then it was bath or Jacuzzi time for the kids while our parents opted for a movie-and-cuddle break that they didn’t need us around to share with them. That’s okay with us because we’re tired after a too-late night; and we’re just winding down toward nap time now. That’s also pretty much all we have for this report; so we’re going to move on and get started on that downtime soon.
