Happy 11th Birthday, Samantha Norton!
The baseball-watching, barbeque dinner, and camping adventures were all a lot of fun last night; and then we’ve had a pretty good day so far today. Ehlana and Naomi were invited to Samantha’s party at Quarry Lake, so they’ve had more fun than Aiden and I have, but we had a good morning too with Tai Chi by the river with extra junior workout buddies; an easy-breakfast to feed out gang of campers; and then some chores to get done before we were set free for the day to either head for Quarry Lake or stay around town and hang out with our friends.
Samantha’s party was mostly girls-only except for family, and Ehlana has assured me that they had a blast; but we didn’t miss out on anything different from normal for what they did while at the campground. Aiden and I kept busy with our buddies; we biked and explored along the trails; and went swimming a couple of times while the girls were gone. Only a few of the girls in our grade were at Samantha’s party, but the girls that were home instead didn’t choose to hang out with us today – at least before our baseball practices. Ehlana and Naomi were back in time for our practices, but they missed out on the pizzeria pizza picnic and had to settle for saved slices and drinks that they ate during the usual breaks for their turns at-bat. Aiden and I were with our family for the pizza time before our practice; and then we had a good workout with our team too.
This update is coming to you between baseball and the campfire that will be up next for us. We’ve just finished going for a swim and setting up extra tents; and now we’re getting cleaned up and ready for the rest of our night. We’ll have most of our cousins camping with us tonight – along with extra friends for all of us too; so we’ll be busy for the rest of the night – even with some teen support that the parents have recruited to help out. We’ll let you know how the rest of these adventures go for us with the next update, but that’s all we have for now, and we need to get back to the backyard fun now; so, until next time...
