Ethan and Ehlana:
Our top news of the day is that Uncle Blaine, Aunt Alison, and our cousins have come to town for a four-day weekend! That’s in-part so that Uncle Blaine can do some work today and tomorrow and so they’ll be here for Faith’s birthday on Sunday. Our cousins are very happy to reunite with three of their favorite local friends too; and we’re sure that they’ll be allowed to stay through to the holiday weekend – even though Uncle Blaine will need to be home for work next week. We’ll keep you posted on that, but we need to get back to the fun soon; so let’s get the rest of the news covered so that we can move on and do that.
We had a lot of fun last night with everything from the barbeque dinner through the fun at the park and the camping – even though we didn’t end up having much co-ed cuddle or camping time because Ehlana and Naomi ended up with Hailey and Leah in their tent for the night. We had spectators for Tai Chi by the river this morning; breakfast was leftover bakery treats; and then our parents put us to work for the morning after giving us the news about our incoming guests. We packed up the tents and moved them downriver to the back yards of the Carringtons and Everetts; helped out with setting up more tents that we’ll need for our cousins and the expected extra friends; and we took care of other chores – like mowing the lawns. We had extra help for all of that; got the work done by lunchtime; and managed to get cleaned up by the time that meal was ready – and our guests were here.
Since then, we enjoyed that food break; we’ve been hanging out with our cousins and a small gang of friends; and this break is only to get the rest of what we need for the camping tonight – and to help Mom with hauling her contributions for dinner over to the Carrington’s house.
