Ehlana and Ethan:
We’re together for this update because our bedtime twin chat is being multi-tasked with some computing and a music practice; and we’ll put our toys away for the night once we’re done and ready to go get some sleep. We’ve missed doing our joint-updates more than we expected, so while we know that co-journals won’t work for us forever; we’re going back to them again – at least until we change our minds again! ;^)
There isn’t much news for here at home today, but before we get to that, we want to mention that we were just talking about Gwyneth Hathorne. She didn’t likely create the snowstorm hitting the east coast today, but that didn’t keep us from joking about it; since the storm hit in time for the first day of in-person classes of the spring semester at Princeton. If we’re wrong about that, then Gwyneth is likely the first Dark Magi Master to ever use her talents to change the weather just to get a snow day from school!
Moving along, this is a three-school-day week for us, so we were in classes today, and while we didn’t get a snowstorm here too; it didn’t really warm up that much either – just a bit above freezing. That’s why we opted for a lab and archives play time once we were set free from school. That kept us busy until dinnertime, but none of our work was newsworthy. Dinner included a pasta favorite; we had fun with Mom and Dad; and our evening included time-phased work in the office. Our Magi lesson was a highlight of the day. That’s true for most of our Magi lessons as we get into some of the most-advanced uses for our special abilities. Our training has been adapted from Mom’s original teaching plan for Cassie, but then that’s true for all Magi kids now; and we also have more that we can do thanks to everything that Mom and Cassie have learned over the past twenty years.
Mom sent us upstairs at nine o’clock; we had the music practice after that; got ready for bed; and then met up for our bedtime chat and the bonus work and hang-out time. Our work is family-business-related; we’ve been listening to music; and we’ve been talking about everything from our favorite Dark Magi Master to plans for Valentine’s Day and Cassie’s birthday. Those conversational extremes were connected too; since we’re concerned about the potential for more trouble from Gwyneth over the next couple of weeks. We’ll hope for the best, but will be ready for anything; since we trust our senses and know the danger from Gwyneth is higher right now – and possibly a problem for us for months or even the rest of the year.
That isn’t a happy wrap-up for our update – or happy thoughts to take into dreamland whenever we do get around to nap time, but we need to get back to the work we want to get done now; so that’s all we have for tonight.
