Ethan and Ehlana:
Our only news for today-so-far is that we won our championship game this morning – and did that convincingly by a score of forty-nine to zero over Hillcrest. For the record, Hillcrest was an underdog team most of the way to the championship game; so they might have just run out of steam. Ehlana wants me to mention that I had three touchdowns; three defensive interceptions; and over three hundred yards on offense. Yes, that is all true, but everyone on our team stepped up today; which is why we were also able to start kicking field goals by the second half and kept doing that for our final seven scoring drives to avoid running it up on Hillcrest.
That’s really all we have for now. The bus ride to Central State – or drive for the cheer squad members – was too-early and quiet. The game was great; and we also watched the game that followed our win before heading to our hotel and getting checked in. Mom and Dad were among the spectators, so we got to spend time with them this afternoon too; and they are also staying overnight so that they can help with the driving for the cheer squad in the morning. We’re getting ready for the banquet now and will be busy for the rest of the day; so that’s all for this update.
