Ethan and Ehlana:
Happy 2nd Anniversary, Cal and Anna Marie Jennings!
We aren’t involved in the dinner or party that will be starting soon, but will be helping out with some babysitting while also having a second camping night with friends and cousins. That won’t start until after our baseball practices; and we’re having a Pizzeria pizza dinner ahead of those practices because Mom and Dad will be at that dinner party.
Ehlana and I had fun with the dinner, outdoor movies, and camping last night; we stayed up too late; and some of us were happy to have co-ed nap time in our tents once we did get around to crashing for the night. We were up early for Tai Chi by the river and breakfast; I headed to the park with the other guys for the football workout; and Ehlana and I eventually got to work-play at the lab or archives for a few hours. The main difference in our day-so-far from yesterday is that we’ve spent our afternoon play hours on bikes instead of in canoes – though we also went swimming a couple of times. We also stayed on the park trails; since we didn’t have enough time to do a major ride. That is something that we talked about, though, and we’d like to set up at least a couple of all-day rides before we head back to school – if we can find time for that before the end of the month.
Speaking of time, we don’t have much left before the pizzas arrive; so we need to wrap this up. In addition to the babysitting tonight, we’re planning on a campfire instead of more outdoor movies; and there will not be any co-ed camping because we will have junior camping buddies – including next-gen cousins and their friends. We’ll have more on that with our next update, but that’s all we have for our own news of the day. Cassie and Michael have had another good day in Greece – though less sightseeing and more business meetings and site visits. They’ve focused on transportation today; and one of the site visits was to a port for a project we’re involved with to help our family business and charity transportation network. They’re half-way through their visit to Greece; and will continue to be busy all of the time between now and when they move on to Cyprus to start work there by Friday morning.
We don’t have time for a major world news and political commentary; so let’s just skip it for today. There isn’t any good news to report anyway and our world leaders continue the insanity; so we don’t expect any major changes for the better anytime soon anyway! We really do need to go now; so that’s all for this report.
***RESTRICTED UPDATE***
Ehlana and I just want to make a quick note about the aftermath of the fight that Cassie and Michael had last weekend against Matteo Baresi. The latest news is that nothing has changed with his ‘public’ life. He is still in charge of his family businesses; has been seen in public and at his corporate office at work; and he may be avoiding seeing his daughter in-person – though that might just be because she doesn’t live close to her parents anyway and has her own life with her six-year-old daughters. Matteo’s wife is still away and with their daughter and grandkids, and while that might not be a big deal either; it is worth noting that Matteo didn’t call them home for an emergency or to advise his daughter of his condition. He also couldn’t have warned her of any danger, but then Cassie and Michael had no plans to confront her anyway and leave those little girls to fend for themselves. We’ll have more news if anything major happens with Matteo Baresi; so we only want to add that we hope for the best for him and that this extra time he has now will give him the chance to change and turn toward the Light.
***END OF RESTRICTED UPDATE***
Until next time, live with love, fellow Magi of the Light!
