Ethan and Ehlana:
Happy 41st Birthday, Aunt Grace!
Celebrating our aunt’s special day was the top news for our Sunday. After Tai Chi by the river, breakfast for four at home, and the church service and Sunday school; we spent the afternoon with our family and some friends at the Carringtons were Uncle Adam and Aunt Leanne hosted the birthday adventures. That included a barbeque lunch; back yard games; canoeing; biking; and park playground action that was mostly to help with keeping the next-gen kids entertained. We had a lot of fun with all of that – even while helping with the younger kids; and then we all headed to the Inn for the late buffet along with a lot of friends that couldn’t share the rest of the day with us for various reasons. As always, the food was amazing and we loved sharing that meal with Cassie, Michael, and some of the next-gen kids – though we were actually at two separate tables; and couldn’t talk easily with everyone at both tables without getting too loud. Ehlana and I were closest to Cassie and Michael, though; and we managed to chat with them while also making sure that all of the kids got fed and stayed happy for the hour and a half we were at the Inn through until after the birthday cake desserts.
Ehlana and I walked Naomi and Aiden to their homes with the usual help from Silkie once we collected her along the way for the bedtime walk; Mom had us do a Magi lesson with her after we got home again; and then we did some time phased work on the family business and charity. That kept us busy until near-midnight, but we don’t really have anything serious happening at school for our last week; and we can self-heal in the morning. That’s why we still went with the late bath or Jacuzzi time; and we’ve been keeping entertained with our usual computer checks and twin chat for a while now too. We’re getting tired now; so let’s wrap this up.
Our news reviews didn’t provide any good news of note, but we don’t want to get into any major commentary tonight. Most of our world leaders seem to have lost the capacity for ‘real’ diplomacy; and we are getting very tired of positive talk and the distractions that are meaningless lies while powerful people continue to exploit the weak with no regard for the cost. There is no shortage of political insanity here in our country, and there is an ugly upswing in protests and riots and politically-motivated violence that could explode into much-worse if the escalations don’t stop – including the rhetoric inciting a lot of that violence. We won’t need war to come to our shores if we destroy our own country from the inside!
So much for our no-commentary claim! We will stop there, though, so that’s all for this report and now we’re going to move on to nap time.
