Ethan and Ehlana:
This has been another chores day for Ehlana and me; so we’re tired and didn’t even make plans for any co-ed sleepovers or anything else! That’s been a make-up for all of the fun we had last night that included a lot of play time with our friends; a barbeque dinner with family and friends; and going to the park for the first ball games of the season. We watched our favorite co-ed players and cheered them on, but the Witch Falls Whirlpool lost their first match against the Valley View Vortex – possibly because Jake and Stephanie couldn’t play tonight while busy at the Inn. There were jokes about drafting Cassie and Michael to be future alternates, but they have a trip booked that will have them away from home for half of the summer; so that really won’t work for them – even if it might have been possible last night. Our co-ed sleepover last night was great; we stayed up too late; and that contributed to our level of being tired tonight. It was worth it; and we were very happy when we did get to sleep and then all day today!
Some of our work today was with Naomi and Aiden at multiple homes, but we worked on our own after having a late lunch; and they’re busy with their own families tonight. We really did have a lot to get done today, so we didn’t wrap up until around seven o’clock. A late dinner was followed by bath or Jacuzzi time that we all needed by then. Ehlana and I met up with Mom and Dad again after getting clean; and we worked in the office for the equivalent of four hours thanks to some quality time phasing. It is past- midnight now as we’re wrapping up our computer checks and twin chat time; and now we’re pretty much ready to call it a night.
Before we do that, we feel the need to mention one fairly-disgusting news story from the Ukraine war. If you don’t want to read about something really awful; stop now... we’ll wait a moment before continuing.
The last round of negotiations between Russia and Ukraine included an agreement to exchange more than six thousand bodies of fallen Ukrainian soldiers. That exchange was supposed to happen today and Russia’s delegation arrived with the truckloads of bodies, but the Ukrainian delegation didn’t even show up and apparently refused to accept the exchange they’d agreed to this past Monday. Everything about this war is disgusting, but this is a new low; and we just cannot imagine having such disregard for not only their dead but also the families that survive and mourn them. On top of that, there are also more than six hundred very-seriously injured Ukrainian soldiers that Russia’s delegation had listed and ready to deal with another phase of the agreement to return them to Ukraine, so they are left in limbo now too; and we think that it is unforgiveable for leaders of any country to do that to their own soldiers instead of doing everything possible to bring them home!
We’ll stop now before really getting into a rant, but we really, really wish that we could just go over there and put an end to this horrific conflict! For the record, yes, we are mad-enough that we might be able to do that, but Mom will not let us take those risks – especially when there are a handful of Dark Magi families in the region that might try to stop us. We also know that we are not supposed to intervene in any of the world conflicts or other problems; and let’s not ever forget that the horrors in Gaza, the West Bank, and elsewhere are at least as important and critical for the people being destroyed and terrorized there! So much for stopping without more ranting, but we will do that right now before I get going again; so that’s all for this report.
Until next time, live with love, fellow Magi of the Light!
