Ethan and Ehlana:
Final exams are the story of the week for us and we spent the school day writing them and then the rest of the day studying for the exams we have tomorrow. Sophia hosted our study sessions and a barbeque dinner that we helped out with for the work too; so we loved that change a lot – and so did Mom and Dad; since they got a handful of kid-free hours that we do not need to write about at all. We had fun with our friends, but really don’t have any specific news to offer. We worked until ten o’clock; helped with the clean-up; and came home after taking Silkie along while walking Naomi and Aiden to their homes. Mom did a short Magi lesson with us, but we didn’t work in the office too and were sent upstairs to get off to sleep before midnight.
We’re not out of time for that quite yet, but getting closer; so our other local story is about Doug and Alicia Warren and their little family. They’re taking over his family home this week while his – and Jen’s – parents downsize into a Ridge Road cottage similar to the one that Mom and Cassie rented when they first moved here. Their ‘new’ home is east of Quarry Road, but a similar walk to school for Mrs. Warren, but they’re mostly just happy to have the smaller home now while the extra space works for Doug, Alicia, and their kids. They all have lots of help from family and friends for the moves, but we won’t be involved at all while busy with our exams.
Finally, before we wrap this up, the world and political news of the day included the Ukraine-Russia peace talks in Turkey. The second round doesn’t seem to be much different from the first round with some prisoner exchanges but no progress on anything important while the killing and destruction continues to escalate. That story pushes others out of the headlines, but nothing positive has changed anywhere else. Let’s not dwell on that too much or get into another rant. Instead of going there, we’re going to end this update now and go get some sleep.
Until next time, live with love, fellow Magi of the Light!
