Ehlana and Ethan:
Today’s top story is the Moms’ Christmas shopping trip, and while we obviously couldn’t go along; that adventure for many of our favorite mothers had everything to do with some of the best parts of our day. Mom brought the rest of us along for the buffet breakfast at the Inn; Dad hosted a Pizzeria pizza dinner with fathers and their kids – including most of our cousins and best friends; and we had some play time too – until Mom got home and we wrapped up our day with not helping to unload Dad’s truck or other minivans – though Brianna did try to get around that no-kid plan by offering to switch homes to help with that work. For some reason; she couldn’t convince the parents involved that their kids wouldn’t then trade Christmas secrets after helping with hauling packages to hiding places!
Moving along, we’ve had fun – and that includes with our academic adventures and the school band practice that we fit in between that special breakfast and dinner. By the time we did a post-shopping visit with Mom, she was ready for some quality Jacuzzi time and an early bedtime; so Ethan and I have been upstairs and keeping busy with a music practice and the usual bedtime computing. The world news got a bit worse today with news that the South Korean government has declared martial law, since in their ‘wisdom’ they have decided that democracy does not apply to opposition parties and people that don’t agree with the way they rule the country. Funny, that seems very similar to Ukraine and their democracy that we’re supposedly saving while their government doesn’t hold elections; bans opposition everything; and targets Orthodox Christians and minorities. Actually, now that we’re getting into this commentary; the same could be said for a lot of countries controlled by ‘western’ countries. New problems in Georgia and Syria are already bad-enough – we definitely shouldn’t be risking unrest in Korea, China, or anywhere else! Let’s add that we’re not impressed with the long list of threats being issued by our President-elect; since true peace and co-operation doesn’t happen at the end of a gun – whether that is through actual fighting or threats of sanctions and other economic warfare. It’s a good thing that we don’t run our family business the way that so many world governments run their countries; since that would be the way that Dark Magi Masters rule their corners of the world. We already have a lot of enemies around the world because of our actions; and we really shouldn’t be destroying relationships with the countries that are supposed to be our allies.
Instead of going on about that; let’s wrap this up with another two-song pick for our Christmas music videos of the day. The first is an annual favorite of ours and still one of the best for remembering loved ones that have passed into the Light. The second song is new this year and from a Christmas romance movie, but just for fun; we’ll leave it up to you to guess at which song I picked and the one that Ethan chose tonight! ;^)
The Sweetest Gift – The Piano Guys and Craig Aven
A Brand New Christmas – from ‘Jingle Bell Love’
Enjoy the music and guessing game; and we’ll go and get some sleep – and look forward to near or distant future chats with anyone that chooses to offer those guesses to us in our future; whenever you’re reading this update in your now!
Until next time, live with love, fellow Magi of the Light!
