Ehlana and Ethan:
We’ve had an awesome day-so-far, and the Maple Valley Christmas parade and the rest of the holiday fun we got to have with our family and friends. The ‘family’ parts of our day is why we’re putting the trip to Maple Valley ahead of the school dance last night, but we had a lot of fun there too – including with our musical contributions and all of the dancing. Getting the opportunities for real dates is special too – though we loved the co-ed cuddle time and sofa sleepover with our four best friends more; and know that we’d never trade what we have here for the better entertainment opportunities in cities.
The parade with the band was great; we spent time with our cousins and next-gen kids while playing games, enjoying treats, watching shows, and visiting Santa; and we brought treats home with us too – including the snacks we’ll be taking with us to Cassie and Michael’s house for the rest of the day and overnight. They’re hosting their six favorite teens tonight, and while they’re likely tired after having the gang of kids last night and while at Maple Valley; we can manage to help them have fun without wearing them out!
That’s why this update is early again – we’ll be meeting up with our four best friends again soon; and then we’re going to enjoy the quieter time with Cassie and Michael – possibly the last chance we’ll get to do that between now and the end of the year; since we’ll all be busy and need to share them with everyone over the holiday break. There isn’t really anything else to write about this afternoon. The school dance was a hit with all of the teens and tweens – as was our mini-set of unplugged Christmas songs that included two ballads and one up-tempo song. We helped with the post-dance clean-up as well as other work during the dance, so we didn’t really have much time left for the co-ed cuddling. A movie was started and it took a while to wind down from the dance adventure, but we were also all tired; and fell asleep before the movie ended.
We needed to be up early this morning; skipped Tai Chi and just got ready for the day and enjoyed breakfast with Mom and Dad; and then we were off to the school to meet up with the band for the bus ride to Maple Valley. We don’t need to add more than we’ve already included about our time in Maple Valley – though we should at least mention that we appreciated the support from everyone during the parade! We’re also going to skip over any world news commentary. All of the bad continues to happen whether we write about it or not; and we’re going to stick with happy thoughts today and be grateful for our blessings while enjoying our night with Cassie, Michael, and our best friends. We’ll have the rest of our story for today with our next update; so let’s wrap this up with our Christmas music video picks of the day. Enjoy them while Ethan and I move on to have all of that fun!
What Christmas Should Be – Hilary Duff
Yes, you can play the guessing game for which of these songs Ethan and I chose tonight; so have fun with that too. Ethan might be in trouble with Naomi either way, since all of the women involved are pretty, but then they are also much-older now than they were when these videos came out; so maybe he won’t get into any trouble at all! ;^)
Until next time, live with love, fellow Magi of the Light!
