Ehlana and Ethan:
Our first ‘friends’ birthday party of the school year was a hit and Miles had an awesome day while also managing to stay out of trouble with Caroline and most of the girls attending the dinner and evening fun. Pizzeria pizza and Olde Bakery cakes led the highlights for that meal; Miles loved his gifts of all sizes; and Ethan and I had fun with our dates – even when we helped out with some of the work and provided live music for the dance part of the night. There was an action movie for the wind down to the party that included lots of co-ed cuddling for quite a few of the teens in the house; and then Ethan went home with Naomi and I brought Aiden home with me by midnight. No, we did not need to do that to avoid any supernatural dangers – midnight was the time set by Miles’ parents for his party – not including the few friends that stayed for the night.
Aiden and I had more fun with Tai Chi this morning after our co-ed sofa sleepover in the lounge while Ethan and Naomi traded that off with more fun while on their own last night even with also needing to deal with having Zack and Eli at the Seagers’ home too. We all had hot breakfasts and the teens in the houses took care of the clean-ups; and then we met up for the walk to church. The parts of the service that we joined in on were great; we had fun with Sunday school as we started new modules; and then we split up for lunch and to do some chores for a couple of hours. We got together with a gang of friends and cousins for some biking on the trails this afternoon, and while it will still be a while before the trail heading out of town to the south will be linked up with the rail trail to our south; we rode on it as far as we can go so far; and it is going to be awesome to have that option once it is finished. Our parents might even let us go out on multi-day rides once we can safely get to that rail trail and ride it too, but we’ll keep you posted on that if we actually get to do that and have the time away from work and other responsibilities to attempt that kind of adventure.
As for the rest of our day, we got home in time to help Mom with making dinner for four while our friends were busy with their own families or other plans. A quiet meal worked for us, and so did the charity work and Magi lesson that we did with Mom and Dad until we were sent upstairs for bath or Jacuzzi time. Our parents weren’t rude about that, but we don’t actually need to hear the words to sense when being in close quarters with others is a bad idea after hours of physical exertion. After getting cleaned up, Ethan met up with me for our usual bedtime computing and twin chat, and since we had the time; we extended our surfing to include most of the top weekend news along with checking in on most of our favorite Dark Magi haters. Instead of getting into any of those stories tonight; let’s keep this update light and happy.
I definitely want to mention that Ethan and Aiden are changing their daily schedules starting tomorrow morning because they are going to join Aaron for the football team weight training. We’ll also be adding in band practices after school on Tuesday, and while we’re still junior members; we’re hoping to encourage our music teacher and band mates to start doing more events with the band so that we can all have more fun. Okay, we also want that to lead to another band trip to Disney World, but that plan is still years away; and we need to work up to getting approval for that trip and everything that goes into making that happen. Ethan and I still want to put in hours at the lab or archives as often as we can too; so we’ll likely be adding in at least one evening a week to go along with the after school plans.
We’ll let our future readers read all about how that collectively goes for us, but that’s all for this report. Getting some sleep is next on our to-do lists and we really do want to be at full power by morning; so we’re out of here and off to dreamland soon.
Until next time, live with love, fellow Magi of the Light!
