Ehlana's and Ethan's Journals - September 4, 2024

Ehlana and Ethan:

Day Two of our school year was Day One for the High School students; and that was a joke that went around while not really being funny.  Starting our update with that doesn’t really make sense either, but maybe we’re just getting tired after another busy day.  It isn’t taking long for us to settle into the new school year, though we do want to mention that a Presidential election year is a challenge for Grade Eight students when some of our lessons are focused on federal government as a lead-up to our trip to Washington next May.  Let’s keep our cynicism to ourselves both with those lessons and here with our journals.  Thankfully, politics is not our only subject; and we prefer classes that actually make sense – like sciences and languages!

Moving along, the weather has been great again today, and we had some outdoor time at school in addition to our lunch break, but we play-worked at the lab or archives after school again while our friends were busy elsewhere.  We had dinner with Mom and Dad, and then Naomi, Aiden, Sophia, and Aaron came over to study with us for an hour or so before Ethan and I needed to work in the office.  Mom did a group Magi lesson with the six of us first before our friends headed for their homes; so it was close to nine before we got started on some charity work.  Thanks to a time phase, we were able to head up to the third floor by a quarter after ten; and we’ve been busy with the usual twin chat and bedtime computing.

Ethan and I are choosing to avoid a major commentary on world events tonight, but we do want to mention that there seems to be more of an effort to distract people with quick rotations of stories that include the main events like the ongoing wars with all of the little stories meant to divide and conquer the peasants.  For example, this week we are supposed to be afraid of Venezuelan prison gangs taking over our town because illegal immigrant gangs are far-scarier than home-grown gangs!  Of course, we don’t actually have any gangs in our area at all, but we aren’t supposed to let facts get in the way of being afraid and hating other people.  We’ll continue to choose love and the Light; and won’t be distracted from what is actually important in our lives.

For right now, getting some sleep is most-important; so that’s all for this update and we’re out of here and off to dreamland soon.

Until next time, live with love, fellow Magi of the Light!
