Ehlana and Ethan:
Happy 6th Birthday, Tamara Carter!
Happy 24th Birthday, Vanessa Sparks!
We’re going with another early update, but don’t have much time for it; so let’s get right to it!
The dinner party at the Inn was awesome and short for those of us that headed to the park for the co-ed ball games. For the teens in our group, that was mostly for helping with kid control; and we took care of babies and toddlers while playing most of the time and even going for a short swim in the river that was mostly floating around for a while with the youngest kids. As planned, we took Valerie and Marcus home with us from the park while their parents – and ours – went out for a bit of bonus fun at the pub; and we played some video games and watched a movie. Naomi and Aiden were with us for the night too; and Naomi would want me to mention that Valerie likes Ethan quite a bit more than Aiden – a fact that works for me and amuses Naomi while she’s also happy to make sure that Valerie knows that Ethan is definitely never going to be available to any other girls in a dating kind of way! ;^)
We all eventually got some sleep; Tai Chi by the river this morning included one bonus spectator; and then we had pancakes and bacon for breakfast before it was time for a few hours of chores around three homes and two cottages. We worked as a team and moved from yard to yard; and then we were given time to get ready for a trip to Quarry Lake for the afternoon – an outing that we went along with because the Malloys had planned it with the family and friends that had stayed overnight or for two nights at the Inn. We had fun with all of the usual activities and a picnic lunch; the highs are topping ninety this afternoon; and that made the water play time a perfect way to spend that time together.
Cassie and Michael are hosting a barbeque dinner with all of the wedding guests currently in town and we’re booked to help out with the work; so we really do need to get going soon. We’re also booked for another round of wedding-related work after the meal; and might also be hosting a camping night here in our yard for some friends and cousins; so we definitely are going to be busy for the rest of the day. Stay tuned for those stories with our next report, but it really is time for us to run now; so we’re out of here and back to all of the ongoing family-and-friends’ fun!
Until next time, live with love, fellow Magi of the Light!
