Ehlana's and Ethan's Journals - July 11, 2024

Ehlana and Ethan:

Happy 11th Anniversary, Uncle Mark and Aunt Grace!

We don’t really need to add that today is also the same anniversary for Cassie and Michael’s first date, since we mention it every year, but why let facts get in the way of having fun with that; since pretty much everyone else does that too and the jokes and comments have been flying all day and will continue once the dinner party begins soon.

That’s why we need to make this report another quick one, since we’re booked to help out with the pre-party work and cooking and probably some kid control too.  We have another hot day with the high around ninety-five today; so the weather is great for the barbeque dinner and the camping we’ll be hosting while most of the parents get a kid-free night.

Since our last update, Ethan and I had fun last night with Naomi or Aiden and their families for dinner and beyond – including the time we all spent together at the park during the ball practices.  Aiden and I got more sleep; Ethan has been smiling more than I have today; and details from his co-ed sleepover with Naomi do not need to be included here or anywhere else – though Naomi’s journal might not be kid-rated for her side of that news! ;^)

Instead of going there, while we were split up for Tai Chi and breakfast, Aiden and I did our workout with Cassie and Michael; and then Ethan and I went to work-play at the lab for the morning.  We were together and at home with a small gang of family and friends for lunch; and our afternoon-so-far including hanging out in the back yard; playing and swimming with our friends; and getting our tents set up for the camping we’ll be doing with those teens and kids after the anniversary dinner party.  I haven’t exactly kept this as short as I should have and we really need to get over to the Carringtons’ house to help with the work there; so we’re out of here and off to do that starting right now.

Until next time, live with love, fellow Magi of the Light!
