Ehlana and Ethan:
Happy 20th Anniversary, Uncle Terry and Aunt Angela!
Happy 17th Birthday, Ryan Bassett!
Happy 24th Birthday, Serena!
We’re currently getting ready for the anniversary dinner at the Inn for our honorary aunt and uncle, and we’re writing this now because we’ll be busy for the rest of the day.
Starting with the rest of our story from yesterday, the ball practices went well – though Ethan and I did a bit less work because we won’t be playing in our games this weekend due to the wedding. That’s true for Naomi, Aiden, Sophia, and Aaron because they’ll all be at the wedding too; and that might not go well for our teams since they will only have the minimum players on Saturday. The Pizzeria pizza was the food highlight for the day; and then we eventually headed for Sophia’s house to babysit the kids that Sophia was taking care of during her cousin’s birthday party at the pub with our help. While we had some older kids too, we mostly had babies and toddlers; and that kept us busy through until we could eventually have some co-ed nap time once most of the kids were picked up and the few that stayed were in bed and sleeping.
Tai Chi by the river this morning was awesome with our friends; breakfast was a minor adventure while helping out with getting those few kids fed and ready for the day; and then Ethan and I headed for the lab or archives for the rest of the morning while our friends had other work to do at home or elsewhere. The books or beakers fun was great, but we’ve kept busy all day to now. There was a lunch break at home with Mom; and we’ve spent the afternoon to now helping out with wedding-related work that has included welcoming incoming guests – including Serena and another gang of Rowen and Tim’s college friends. There was some work on decorations to go along with hauling luggage and other work at several homes and cottages, but we had fun with most of that too; and now we’re looking forward to the break for dinner – especially since we’re getting to do that with Naomi and Aiden as well as with the gang of family and friends. By the way, the Malloys have friends and family in town for the dinner and party too; and they are going to enjoy their stay at the Inn for one or more nights!
In addition to the dinner party at the Inn, we’ll be helping out with kid control at the park for co-ed ball practices; and then we’re planning on keeping Naomi and Aiden for the night while we also have Valerie and Marcus with us for the night – one of our gifts for their parents. No details of that kid-free night will be happening in our journal, but before we move on; let’s also mention that we don’t really need to babysit Valerie; since she is only a year and change younger than us and probably already babysits Marcus now and then at home when needed. I don’t really know why we don’t think about that for Valerie the same way we do for kids here at home around her age, but then that won’t come close to how weird it’ll be if she crosses over soon and gets that kind of attention from any of the local boys – especially since that could eventually include Zack, Eli, and their friends – or ours!
On that scary note, let’s just wrap this up now. We’re going to meet up with Naomi and Aiden soon; head for the Inn; and move on to the next round of amazing adventures with some of our favorite people!
Until next time, live with love, fellow Magi of the Light!
