Ethan and Ehlana:
Happy 6th Birthday, Tristan Johnson!
We were busy with the band trip and Christmas parade in Maple Valley, so we missed out on a vid-chat with Tristan and his family; so we can only report that he’s having a happy day with family and friends; and liked the gifts that were sent for him from his hometown family.
The weather cooled appropriately for a Christmas parade, and while that made playing music a challenge in the cold, it was also nice out without any snow or rain; and everyone at the parade had a blast this morning! Naomi and I have more fun than the rest of our friends because we get to sit together, but then the parade is actually less than an hour of the overall adventure; and we hung out with our friends the rest of the time. We had cameo moments with family and friends too, and Mom and Dad helped out with driving some of our cousins to Maple Valley; so there was a good turnout of Witch Falls residents. The Christmas adventures in downtown Maple Valley included great food, games, stage shows, and, of course, visits with Santa – complete with Mrs. Claus and a couple of elves! Yes, Naomi and I have pictures with Santa and his wife; and she earned a lot of laughs for making sure that couples’ kissing was involved in those pictures. Ehlana and Aiden didn’t do that too; so they just have ‘normal’ pictures with Santa.
We couldn’t stay there all day because our bus drivers needed to be back in less than eight hours, but we stayed long-enough to have lunch; headed home then; and we helped out with unloading the buses and getting the band gear back into the music room. While playing with our friends for the rest of the day would have been fun, Aiden had orders to be at the bakery to help out there; Ehlana decided to go along; and that’s why Naomi and I ended up being put to work at two homes for some afternoon chores that kept us busy until we split up for the rest of the day with our own families. Ehlana and I had a quiet dinner with Mom and Dad; our evening included some work and a Magi lesson; and we’ve been busy with a comparatively-early bath or Jacuzzi time since coming upstairs at around nine o’clock. We’re winding down toward nap time now; and want to do that after staying up late last night with our friends.
That brings us to the rest of our story from yesterday. Once our friends caught up with us after school, we helped Mom with making dinner for eight; we enjoyed that meal with Mom and Dad; and then our evening included music practices for both bands; several Christmas movies; and lots of co-ed cuddling and tween chat time ahead of our co-ed naps. That little blurb doesn’t come close to expressing how much fun we had last night; so let’s again add that the ‘what’ we’re doing isn’t what really matters – it is getting to have that fun with the people we love the most!
Moving along, that’s pretty much all we have for tonight; so let’s wrap up with our Christmas music video pick of the day. We choose this one because we love the message as well as the music and the collaboration with favorite artists; and hope that it will bring a bit of Christmas happiness to your day – regardless of when in the year that you’re reading this in our near or distant future! ;^)
