Happy 25th Birthday, Garrett Wingborough!
While we didn’t share in his special day, Cassie and Michael did; so we know that he’s having a good day – and getting a kid-free night that we don’t want or need any details about! We’ve also heard another round of jokes because of Garrett’s day-early birthday gift that they were teased about yesterday too for Jarrod’s birthday; and that will definitely be a bit of fun that they’ll get to deal with every year!
As for our day, the weather has been decent, but not warm; so we’ve opted to stay indoors most of the time. That included for Tai Chi this morning; our lunch break at school; and after school when we went with a band practice to get ready for the school dance on Friday night. Today shouldn’t be any different for us, but the two-week countdown to Christmas is on now; and everyone is getting more-excited about that – including the kids and teens at school! Maybe you are thinking of that as a joke, but with adults like Aunt Leanne and Cassie in our lives; we can assure you that some of our favorite grown-ups are bigger kids than we are when it comes to Christmas! We had fun with the music; our friends headed for their homes for dinner and the rest of the night; and we ended up having a quiet dinner and work night in the office with Mom and Dad. That might not sound very exciting, but we got a lot done – including a long Magi lesson and some time-phased charity work. Mom had us wrap things up by a bit after ten o’clock; and now we’re winding down toward bedtime with the usual twin chat and computing.
Bad news from around the world continues as usual, and we keep up with current events, but while we do what we can to help through our businesses and charities; we also need to focus on the joy and love in our lives and accept that we can’t do anything about most of the bad things happening in so many other places. With that goal in mind, our Christmas music video pick is a new one this year from our favorite father-daughter duo, and on a weird note, if we can do what is suggested in this song; you, future reader, might know that we made that happen for ourselves and our favorite people! ;^)
